Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ ... issue is occurring on my wife's phone as well as mine ever since the January update.

I can't get the screen to wakeup automatically when receiving a text or email. It used to auto wake the screen when I received both of these types of notifications. Now it stays on the AOD screen and it just shows the app icon on the AOD telling me I have a notification. This is extremely annoying.

2nd problem I use google messages for texting and gmail for my email and before whenever I got a text the phone would wake and go to the lock screen and show a preview of the text. Now it just stays on the Always On Display (A.O.D.) screen and only shows the little text icon on the A.O.D. It doesnt automatically wake the phone and go to the lock screen like it did before.

Also, edge lighting no longer works on the A.O.D. for pretty much every app. It worked before this update and now it wont show up when the phone is off/on the A.O.D. screen. It definitely worked before the update.............I've tried using different text apps and different email apps but nothing has worked.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps. No fix. I even did a full factory default reset and that did nothing either.......

How hard is that. Apparently too difficult for a multi-bazillion dollar company "google" to produce a user guide or even a simple list. Anybody know of a reasonably comprehensive list?

A word of comfort: it's not nearly as scary as the article makes it out to be. All we're doing here is disabling the battery-optimization from messing with the fingerprint scanner. If it doesn't work, just repeat the process and turn it back on.

Hello. I buy a samsung S20 and when I connect to wireless is closing and after that I can't open it.

I was going thru my phone and looking at my mobile app data and the first one on the list that dressed every single last ounce of my data says... Name of app:10382 then when it shows how much data it's using (which it showed all of it) usually it says 2.4mg or whatever it instead said restricted. Can anyone tell me what app this is??

I noticed that one of the credit reporting agencies lists most of my cell phone numbers from all time. Of course this defeats the purpose of trying to have a private number like I used to have with an unlisted phone line in the past. Anyone know how I can have a private number nowadays? I also found my “landline” (bundled with cable tv) number online one time. I intend to remedy that by cancelling the service since I don’t use it anyway.

it boots into twrp and download mode but no connection to pc. when i connect usb to pc, it doesnt respond(computer dont even makes sound). currently iam using 3.2.3 twrp. when i try to install custom os through sd card or otg , the current twrp doesnt let me to mount them.

Since I know nothing about app development, I would like to have some feedback from you about this app idea that I have so I can assess how realistic the project would be. It would be used on smart campus to assess the thermal comfort of building occupants.

The app would be a participatory sensing framework developed to collect, analyze and report user assessments of thermal preference at the campus scale with room-level spatial resolution. Users report thermal feedback (is it comfortable? Is it too warm? Or too cold? Users could also write specific comments if they want). When installing the app, they can also report basic demographic factors (age group, gender…), but it is not required to do so to use the app. I would like to have some sort of randomly generated identifier to preserve the anonymity of each user. Thermal feedback would be stored on a secure server where data can be analyzed by a smart controller or by facility analysts. If possible, the app could track users to see in which room they are when sending a feedback. If it is not possible, then the other solution would be to ask users to add info regarding their location (building name, room #) when they are sending a feedback. Ideally, the app could also communicate information to users (something like “It is cold outside, make sure to close windows!”) that can send notifications in the users’ cellphone (if enabled).

How hard would it be to code an app like this? As I said, I know nothing on app development, but would be willing to hire an undergraduate intern from computer science programs to do most of the work. How long do you think it would take? Is it a matter of weeks, months? If I don’t hire anyone, how long would it takes for a complete beginner to do something like this?

From what I’ve just read, Android Studio seems to be the program to use, is that correct?

Had a disturbing minute today when I pulled my phone out of my pocket there was a yellow Warning Triangle saying my phone has been rooted, contact your carrier. Restarted the phone and all seems to be well.

This concerns my Samsung SM-J327A which isn't even listed in the long list of available Samsung phones on this site. Still it's an android so it's operation shouldn't be that different.

I'm trying to send my first email from the phone and after putting in the send to info and typing my message I can't find anyway to send it. The help articles say to hit the send button at the bottom of the compose window but there is no send button there and I can't find any other way to send it.
