I heard about bloatware before I invested in my first Android - a Galaxy S10, so I purposely paid $1000 out of pocket at once to get an unlocked un-aded up phone from Samsung. After all that, I find that there are STILL ADS POPPING UP. There's an annoying one from Norton Antivirus via Samsung that criticises my home internet everytime I connect and tells me I have to PAY A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION ON TOP OF MY EXPENSIVE INVESTMENT TO "PROTECT" MY PHONE which I never had to do the past 10 years on my iPhones and they were perfectly secure. Well I don't want to pay extra money if Android because I didn't realize Android was so vulnerable I can't use it safely on home WiFi, go away and get the **** off my phone! NOPE! Samsung says it's an advertisement and has greyed out all the toggles to stop it from popping up and annoying the **** out of me everytime I get home and try to use the internet in my own home! If this can't be disabled (and yes I tried all the "force close and clear cache and data" stuff) I am going back to the AD-FREE iPhone besides me because Apple doesn't have to pull that ****. It's really invasive and I'm tired of it popping up and am angry after throwing out all that money that Samsung would have the balls to force popups on me demanding more for this annoying feature to stop bothering me.

I wanted to know if it's possible to create a custom ROM from an existing ROM, for example I rooted my phone and uninstalled a few system apps, now I wanna make it into a ROM so then i can flash it to the phone and even when someone will factory reset the phone it will still be without the system apps I uninstalled cause the ROM does not have these apps.

I wanted to know if it's possible to disable factory reset (it should be greyed out), as I uninstalled a few system apps after rooting and I don't wan't that you should be able to restore those apps via factory reset.

Is there any way to change the voice recorder naming convention for future recordings so that instead of 'Voice 001', 'Voice 002' etc, it has the date and time in there?
e.g. '20200203_0211', just like camera pictures and whatsapp photos
Or if not, any workarounds? I'd be willing to download an app if needed

The return key seems to be missing.
When I press... I get a letter f or something (I forget exactly what).

The keyboard is just a standard PC wired (also tried wireless) keyboard.

I have HyperX Cloud II headphones, but this doesn't really matter. The microphone in these headphones is separate and without connected microphone, the headphones are not recognized by the phone. On my old p9 lite, it was possible to put in headphones with a microphone, and then the microphone could be put out and everything would work. But on p30 this "lifehack" doesn't work. I assume that the phone recognizes the connection of headphones by the presence of a connected microphone, respectively, the question is: is it possible to somehow use the headphones without a stuck microphone?

My Moto G7+ just updated to Android 10. Apart from the mess that is Android 10, a strange thing occurred. As soon as the update was complete, there were two downloads of annual statements from my broker. I had not opened their app, or logged in in any way.

I am building an app showing Accelerometer and Gyroscope sensor readings. Now I need to save these readings to phone memory as a file without using any buttons and manually appending the readings without removing old readings.

I have a samsung galaxy fold and am new to android. I am having a real issue with the notifications bar constantly dropping down when I'm trying to type something or use an app. I have checked all notifications settings and turned them all off except for messages. I've tried putting it on do not disturb. I have turned system UI alerts off but nothing works.

It just keeps popping up to show whatever the last notifications were even though I had seen them. If I clear then, it pops up with an empty notifications bar.

It's so annoying and happens intermittently.

I don't have any launchers installed and have hardly any knowledge of android but so far it's just not working for me.... Can anyone help please? Thank you.

When using the LBC or TALKRadio apps, say, I can hit the lock button and know that the radio will keep playing when I add earphones and put the phone in my pocket. When viewing Youtube or TV programmes, this won't work and it's all too easy to catch the wrong button and stop the programme. Is there a feature I haven't spotted that will "tamper proof" the phone for situations when I want to hear the commentary but am not bothered about not seeing the screen? This is possible on my Anquet mapping app, where a can lock the screen on a particulr map location and scale.

I have ticked all relevant boxes to enable "media auto-download" from "setting" to allow the app to automatically download photo/video sent from friends.

Help.. I now have a lock screen on my tablet. I was trying to get it to connect to my PC through the cable and into a USB port. It doesn't always give me a choice whether I want it to charge or transfer files. I didn't have my Bluetooth plugged in, so I went into the VPN settings.. I attempted to create one.. and it didn't work.. So I finally plugged in the tiny Bluetooth adapter and transferred my files. Now I have a lock screen. Ugghh.. I DID go back into the VPN and remove it.. and have since rebooted it, The "NONE" option is still greyed out. It's a personal tablet. Only use it for connecting it to my drone.

What would you recommend for bad burners and drip pans? They look as if chimney sweeps should deal with them. I've used those stainless steel scrubbers but they don't help that much. I wish I could find Brasso or Whink.
