Dark theme enthusiasts who go hard on Insta have been complaining for a LONG time about the lack of an Instagram Night Mode for the longest of times. Without official support, many were left using workarounds such as using a web browser to force dark mode with a home screen shortcut.


The wait is over- Instagram now has official support for Dark Mode and you can enable it with these steps:

1. Update your device to Android 10
2. Go to Settings > Display > Advanced
3. Select "Dark" from the Device Theme Menu
4. Open Instagram

You're all set!

If you don't have Android 10 you'll have to either resort to the workaround or buy an Android 10 enabled device of which there are plenty!

I'm having low battery power issues with my phone's battery capacity, even after placing in power saving mode and closing all possible battery consuming apps. I tried running 360 security lite to boost memory and battery usage but its not had any meaningful effect overall.

Would anyone be aware of what could possible be the cause of this or how I can determine where the problem is emitting from without deleting anything essential in the phone's app directory?

I admit, my knowledge with smartphones isn't the best. I got the phone in 2014 and have noticed the slowdown only recently about an year or more ago.

I use synergy and lite substratum. All goes well however when everything installs I go to change the phone to dark mode and is grayed out. I have tried numerous things but any ideas?

Sometimes it goes into dark, without much of the time, and the video game vanishes, so I have to switch into the game play, I did set up the sleep timer for about a minute. It does help sometimes. I still am getting used to it, after nearly ages of setting it to around 15 seconds, and having the dimmer sometimes at a monderante 10%, I do not massively text or massively do anything but photos, and play some games on it. So..

The video game just goes into black screen.

Just got this phone, works very well, wish it came with a comprehensive manual, can't find much on this phone nor android 9 instructions. All I can find is the basics.

Why is it 351mb? Where are the settings? I want to turn off the editing screen popup after capture. I've been using screenshot touch and
screenshot quick as they can be set to only capture, means I can capture 2-3 screenshots a second.
I use uber driver and google maps at the same time and only the built in screen capture works, sometimes I have driver app and more than 3 apps in background and only built in capture app works. The built in app after capture pops up a view and editing screen blocking my map and takes time to click the x to close. Uber driver app is the constant.
Any suggestion/advice will be appreciated on how to turn off editing screen or another screenshot app that only captures screenshot fast.

My keyboard does not function as normal.
For some reason my keyboard has changed and I cannot now use my phone.

When I try to use it it doesn't get Irecognized so guessing I need to synch it somehow?
Also i ordered it from eBay and it doesn't seem like it fits exactly right but figured it will still work ok, could that be a problem though?

I have 4 email accounts (2 jobs and 2 personal) so many emails. I was suggested Bluemail app for Android but it sucks at searching. I need to have something like Thunderbird has for desktops (no app, unfortunately) which allows me to do conditional searching such as: list me all the emails that contain the word "Minnie" only in the subject AND have CCed to "Mario" AND have an attachment. Anything like that around? I would prefer free, but I can pay if exceptional.

I finished my App using Mit App Inventor and ready to load to Google Play.
To do that I run Generete Sign Bundle into "Anroid Studio" ad obtained the file app-release.aab.
Sent to google Play I got error becouse of the SHA1... key in GPlay do not mutch with mine.
After contact GPlay support I got following answer:

generate a new key:
keytool -genkeypair -alias upload -keyalg RSA -keysize 2048 -validity 9125 -keystore keystore.jks
then: Export the certificate for that key to PEM format:
keytool -export -rfc -alias upload -file upload_certificate.pem -keystore keystore.jks

But as far as for me Android Studio is really new, I do not know where to place such command line and activate.
Any help will be appreciated

So... I guess Samsung got tired of counting up Galaxy S and Note devices, got to "10" and called it quits?

Looks like the long-awaited "Galaxy S11" isn't going to happen - I don't know if Samsung is pairing the model phone with the year now, or if they've decided to count in increments of ten, but the "Galaxy S20" line is expected to be announced on February 11th. It's always enjoyable to watch those Unpacked events, even though I'm a Note enthusiast - because they advances say a lot about what to expect from the new Note later in the year.

That said, will there BE a Note 11? Or will Samsung shake up our numbering convention, too, and go to the Note 20? I supposed we'll find out this summer!

One thing I've heard bounced around for a couple of years now, and I'm pretty sure this year it will be ready for market, is a high-quality, under-display front camera. No more stupid hole punched in the screen! If Samsung can pull that off (and PLEASE put the fingerprint scanner where it was on the Note 9) and have a true bezel-less Infinity display, that will be a huge win for me.

What are you expecting out of the next Note?

Hello, I have a Pixel 3 that has been working great up until 2 days ago, when the most recent Android 10 update was released: 10.0.0 (QQ1A.200105.003, Jan 2020, TMO/Fi)

The problem is that the phone lost it's ability to connect to internet in any way, both WiFi and mobile data.
These are the ways I have tried to connect to the internet:
1. PC as WiFi hotspot
2. Share internet over PC Bluetooth
3. USB reverse tethering

I have tried the following trouble shooting steps:
1. Restart device
2. Reset internet settings (resets all WiFi, Mobile data, and Bluetooth settings)
3. Factory reset phone
4. Factory flash to Android 10 update in December (Using this method: https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...actory-images-android-using-fastboot-0175277/, and factory image "10.0.0 (QQ1A.191205.008, Dec 2019)")
5. Factory flash to Android 9 from August (Using same method and factory image: "9.0.0 (PQ3A.190801.002, Aug 2019)"

I have not been able to find any threads for this problem specifically, so to me it seems very likely this is just a hardware issue and that I am the unlucky one to experience it :/

I have ordered a replacement phone, but it won't come until next week so I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas on how to troubleshoot this problem.
