charging the hero

hi all,

quick q, I live in australia and just got the hero via expansys - but it came with non-compliant australian charger

expansys sent a travel adapter which is cool

however since hero charges via usb could i also use the iphone usb charger rather than dishing from cash to pick up an australian compliant charger?

Any USB plug adaptor will work - USB is a standard of I believe 500mA and any one will charge the phone via USB. So yes use the iphone one it should work fine.

It should work, the USB cable shouldn't be able to provide more current than is safe for your phone, but if I were you I would buy the correct connector for you HTC charger. They shouldn't be that expensive, and I would guess your warrenty would be void if you use the wrong charger (assuming they find out of course)
