I saw that but it wasn't clear if that was only for still images or video as well.
So, now I'm thinking about it..... do I pre-order (if/when available) or go to the store the morning of? Getting it early morning instead of waiting for fedex/ups seems appealing. Either way I will probably take the day off work.
just got off phone with VW and they told me no pre-orders. I think they want a few pictures of people lined up on the 15th looking like iphone junkies.

I might get up early to go visit but not the day before.
My thoughts exactly. I will probably head over a few hours early (store opens at 9) and hope for the best. I'm not camping out.
Worse comes to worse and I can't get one that morning I will call my corporate rep and see if he can help me out.
CS told me no pre orders but of course they don't always know what they're talking about. An Interesting tidbit is that they are waiving the restock fee on the dinc so that we can exchange for Droid X (at least that what the CSR said) My 30 days runs out on the 17th but I don't think I'll have my Dinc past the 15th

No and I don't think they would release such info out it plain sight like that. believe me, I have her ear to the pulse of this thing. If I get any new info about this I'll post for sure.
My local Verizon store said "each store is getting 10". However, I'd only take it as a grain of salt. The guy might have been talking out his ass.

No doubt VZW wants to make sure the stores have them this time. They prolly don't want a nightmare repeat of the DI situation.

My guess is that Verizon is just wanting the anticipation of this phone to build and build untill launch day. Creating some buzz, hype, or whatever you wanna call it. I think its genius marketing! Providing of course I get my hands on one lauch day. otherwise its the dumbest strategy ever! !!!

I heard this today too, they didnt mention intranet but that preorders were not going to happen for this phone.

Well, I got a reseller to take my name and number down and he'll call me as soon as he gets his first one in. That's all I could manage but my brother used to work for Verizon corporate and he said corporate stores always will get stock first before any resellers do. Guess I'll start waiting at about 7:30am on July 15th morning in front of my corporate store.

I can understand this, but I will also be unhappy if I don't get one on opening day. No preorders really sucks for those of us that have to be at work.

Since you said intranet I assume you know someone that works for verizon or you do yourself? I ask cause if this is the case I will just accept that I am not going to be able to preorder.
Well, the no pre-oreder thing kinda blows for me cause I will be in Atlanta that day. I was going to pre-oreder online and have it sent to my parents house cause me and my wife are swinging by their town before we go home. I guess I will be sitting outside some verizon in ATL. Does anyone know where a real verizon store is located in ATL?
