Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I live in Southern California and I've talked to multiple CSR's and they've all told me the same thing. Almost all Inc's have a month delay now, and thats just for shipping, add another two days for actual delivery. I'm probably going to switch over to the Moto X if i can get it on opening day.

whats up delta all orders should have been upgraded to overnight. as for a month wait to be shipped, unbelievable

This Verizon HTC Incredible delivery situation is beyond annoying and ridiculous. Not only is it bad business practice, it's out-right illegal.

I have prepared a criminal complaint against Cellco Partnership (Verizon Wireless) for breach of contract as per the Arizona Revised Statutes, for violations of the Fair Credit Billing Act, Federal Trade Commission Regulations, and several sections of U.S. Code.

If I do not receive a shipping confirmation for overnight service tomorrow (6/25) as explicitly promised in the Verizon store, or some lawful form of compensation, I will file the complaint at the courthouse. I'll also have a modified version filed in New Jersey, and I have already contacted the N.J. Attorney General's office regarding the matter.

I'm also prepared to slap Cellco Partnership and the individual Verizon store I used with business ethics complaints through the respectively appropriate agencies.

Just for show sake and to prove how serious I am about this deal, I am considering drafting and serving a citizen's arrest complaint against the Verizon store manager who processed my purchase.

Purchased 6/5, Verizon Store in Phoenix, AZ. Promised ship date: 6/25.
 
Well, here's a new twist:
I called VZW today, (6/3 ordered) ...at first he couldn't find the order, then he couldn't find any tracking information (stop me if you've heard this....)
Then he put me on hold again...
And then he came back WITH A TRACKING NUMBER!!!....which he was sending via txt message to my phone. My palms became sweaty, my heart accelerated... all this while I was driving 75 down an interstate. I told him I had received the message, and he hung up. I pulled over and ran the golden tracking number he had just sent through mobile FedEx on my Cracked-Berry...and ....
IT WAS FOR SOMEONE ELSE, delivered and signed for June 16th. The only thing accurate was the city... Colorado Springs. How or why in the hell do you pull an old tracking number out of the air and pass it on? Thankfully no one was riding with me, because I promptly turned the air blue with colorful metaphors, and quickly redialed *611...
Next up, a nice lady CSR who, after much investigation, informed me that the unit would ship tomorrow (NOW THIS WE HAVE HEARD)...and I *Should* have the unit in my hands by next Tuesday...
....right... I said. Sure thing. Thanks! and hung up.
...Which is about what I'm ready to do with Verizon...
 
I'm in... Just drafted one here in Virginia and ready to do the same. My counties website has a form to file a complaint and I already received a phone call from an investigator this evening.

Excellent. The more legal problems we tie up Verizon with, the better. Conducting business in this manner is simply unacceptable, and NO ONE is beyond legal reproach in this situation. Whether it be the high level executives sitting on their asses or the Verizon store manager who spewed lies at me, none can escape the wrath of the gavel.
 
I'm jealous nmayer but happy for ya. It's starting to get a bit ugly in here so you are leaving at a good time. Everyone wants their Dinc... everyone is frustrated and even desperate but... it's been entertaining reading this thread and sharing the misery with we all feel. I feel sorry for those that just ordered... the thread is too hostile to be consoling any longer. I hope I can make it another week or... two lol.
 
My beloved Voyager has been a good and trusting friend but the "use by" date is coming soon so I have been shopping for a new phone. I did NOT want a smartphone because I did not want the associated monthly fee attached. However, there are basically no phones that seem just as good as my present one without a fee, so I bit the bullet. After much research and forum lurking I decided on a DINC. I bought at the store on 6/23 and my ship date is 7/23. I have 2 day shipping listed on my receipt. As of now I think I handle the wait. I also think this very amusing forum will become my daily habit and a stress reducer...maybe:-)

I definitely agree with everything you said here. I am happy that all of you are starting to get your phones, or will have them shipped HOPEFULLY on Monday. This thread has entertained me a lot, especially with the later posts at night when the hostility comes down and fun comes out and hope builds back up for the next day. I still have 2 weeks left being a 6/10er but I think it's going to ship later than 7/8 with the sudden halt. But thank you everyone for the fun and awesome thread, it's been keeping me sane and gives me hope that people are actually getting there phones!
 
Welcome to the pit voyagerlvr. The wait is tuff but I've been assured it's well worth the wait. I've been on a BB Storm 1 for some time. It's so slow and limited but with all that said... I have loved having a smart phone (even though it's quite dumb compared to the Dinc) There will come a time when we will be complaining about the Dinc being so slow compared to the current device available. That's just the way of it.
The most difficult part of waiting for the Dinc is knowing that every day that goes by you have lost a day of having the latest and greatest. Oh well. We will still have a great phone that will be amoung the best on the market for a while. It makes me feel good that the phone has been so well received and that popularity translates into great apps and support. I'm not so certain the Droid X will be that popular. Time will tell. In any event.. welcome to long tunnel where the light at the end is near impossible to see and daily changes from closer to farther and back again daily lol.

Oh i'm not leaving, at least not without BB. lol really though after 3 long weeks or more following this thread i have made friends, we have laughed together, cried together, cussed together, and threatened to burn down big v corp/ assault the fed ex guy. Made comparisons to being in hostage situation, stuck with same group of people, some you like, some you can't stand. For those still waiting or just ordering i feel bad, 2 weeks ago we were stalking the fed ex guy, now there's talk of lawsuits and contacting the attorney general. I will continue to pop up here to try to lighten the mood. *sniff, *sniff could never leave you guys......

So my ship date was today, and was told that they are an additional 5 days for all orders right now. The good news is that they have upgraded me to overnight shipping. Well they have 5 days and then I am going off the handle.
 
For those of us who have waited three weeks, and watched our "Ship By" dates come and go... yeah, I'd say we're getting a little hostile. We are sitting here holding the proverbial bag...or in this case, receipt, with nothing to show for it except inconsistent excuses by CSRs who are apparently just as in the dark as we are. If HTC is to blame for this additional delay ...THEN LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW THIS....as soon as you do, Verizon! (IF that is even the case...) We would be much more likely to focus our frustration toward HTC, and not continue to tie up your CSRs with constant and fruitless calling and complaining. We are not mushrooms, Big Red... trying to keep us in the dark and feed us Bull$hit is not an acceptable business practice. (And why, btw, I agree with Pe
