Choose, the same way...once you install it, you enable it in the language options, then long press on an input field to change the keyboard.
You should really try swype, its great for 'portrait' typing.
Would someone else look at their symbols page and see if your & says "&"?
According to someone at xda, it is.Does the Droid X built in swype keyboard have a microphone button!? I thought I saw somewhere that it did.
If so, we absolutely need that.
Yes the keyboard has & overlaping as well
What's the amp problem?
What's the amp problem?
Even with the updated one, I still have the & problem. Did you guys have to reboot after installing it?
No I installed the update right after the initial link (to anxious to install rather than read the entire threadand had no problem after that.
Reading the Smart Keyboard Pro forum, it seems like it is a mixture of both. It is a bit of a hardware limitation, but there should be a software workaround. So I guess we just gotta wait for improvements. *sigh* Guess I'll stick with Shapewriter.I'd really like to know this too. I'd like to know if I can ever look forward to typing the speed I used to on my BlackBerry, or the speed I can on my iPod. If I replicate that same speed, even with this new supposedly multi-touch keyboard, it misses letters or makes mistakes.
I don't get it
I do know that using touch test programs, my HTC Inc. is only recognizing up to two touches at once - is that part of the problem?
Looks pretty good but with Swype already out I don't see how I could ever go back to the old slow way of typing on a touch screen. The only thing that would really interest me would be more Swype competitors.
