Multitouch Keyboard from DX on Inc

You have to uninstall the old version first, and then go back and install the new version. That should take care of your problem.

Roger that. I did that and it still did not work. If the guys at xda can get vibrate to work, I may switch back.

I really wanted to like the X keyboard, really really really wanted to like it. But i feel like it's not as snappy as the default keyboard. I'm not getting the response when hitting space bar and typing words that i used to get when using the default qwerty keyboard in portrait mode. Am i the only one that does not see a better response ?

I showed my daughter (she has a bb curve) the three keyboards and she liked swype and multi touch, but not the stock htc. go figure.

I am liking the new keyboard. Feels buttery smooth. Three things:

1) There is no "hide keyboard" button anymore. As someone mentioned earlier, you can simply hit the "back" key to make it disappear. Alternatively, you can put your finger at the top of the keyboard and swipe down to hide the keyboard.

2) Where did the "enter" button go!!! It's a bit inconvenient to have to move your finger up to hit "send" at the top to send each line of text.

3) Predictive text is certainly different, but I don't know which one is better yet (between stock and X). One thing I noticed is that if you start a sentence with "well," you FINALLY get the option for "we'll." On stock, you can't even add that to the dictionary, as it does not allow you to use punctuation (for some unknown reason).

I am holding down my text field box and no menu pops open to change the input keyboard. What do I do?

edit: nm, found it.

I could definitely use some help with instructions about how to install this.

I have both the .zip and the unzipped folder. The folder has tons of files. I've copied both the folder and the original .zip folder to the SD card via the USB cable. I also have ASTRO. What do I do next?

Thank so much! Excited to try a new keyboard.

Can anyone help us out on this, what file is the keyboard and what do we do after we download this to our SD Card?

Edit: I figured it out, I found a barcode that took me to the fixed version of the keyboard. This new keyboard rocks.

cool! where's this barcode, if you don't mind sharing?

Sure thing...

Nah, I'm with you. I covered in a post back on the first page I believe. This and the other multitouch keyboard (Smart Keyboard Pro), are both quite laggy and don't even implement true multitouch.

So i really like the keyboard a lot but why does it collect info you.type swype did the same thing and thats why i dont use it. But i really like the keyboard...,

I just downloaded and installed it, i really like the way it feels and definitely prefer it ovver swype in landscape.

Sent from my htc incredible now using multitouch.

Used it today, still not as useful as Swype. Found it only marginally better than the stock keyboard. Doesn't have #'s or punctuation on face keys, which sucks to be switching views every time you want something that isn't a letter. Actually, stock keyboard is just as good or better for my needs.

SWYPE FTW.
