Multitouch Keyboard from DX on Inc

Yikes. I was 100% into that Droid x keyboard UNTIL I tried the flakey word correction. Tomorow not getting corrected is vile.

I know. I'm really hoping someone has an explanation that shows I somehow didn't check a box in settings or something, because I love the keyboard, but not if it misses typos that simple.

If you guys wanna delete this jus do this:

settings - applications - manage applications - find application - uninstall.

And nowhere to delete accidentally added words to dictionary

In all seriousness, everyone was feelin great bc we got a ported keyboard over from the X to the D-Inc, and I think we all have the feeling that once the "cool" value goes away, it's really a crappy keyboard and I wouldnt be happy with the X Multitap keyboard if that was my stock.

For example, when you are typing the word "WHAT". Who cares that you can hold W, while hitting H ? It's not a full size keyboard, so it has no benefit. Sure you can hold W while you are hitting H, A, T, but what benefit does that have really? We are talking about typing on a 3.xxx inch screen, Multi-Touch does nothing for me, and probably nothing for 75% of the people that tried it.

I'm not even so concerned about the auto-correction, i'm more concerned that the keyboard is lagging behind me. It's trying and trying to catch up with my key strokes, but it's always a letter or 2 behind, and it's always missing a letter when i know i struck the key. I went back to stock, typing in acidetyala and it knew i wanted "Accidental" and there was no lag.

While the Multi-Touch from the X to be on the D-Inc is cool, i find no redeeming qualities in terms of actually using it for my primary method of text. I fly with the stock keyboard, it has a full service dictionary which i can modify whenever i want, no lag, and auto-correct is great .I'm not being a Hater, i'm just stating my experience. I gave it about 50 texts, and 1 week of testing, and I alway go back to either Stock DInc, ShapeWriter, or Swype.

Again, my .02, and no one really cares about what i have to say anyway :)

I'm with you. I uninstalled it. I must admit the spacing of the keys was definitely better than stock. Other than that, Inc's keyboard is better in every way. That said, I went back to Swype for now to give that another shot. I really do type fastest on Swype (in portrait), there are just a few things that annoy me.

I also think the multi-touch KB was using extra battery. My battery died oddly fast while the DX keyboard was installed. It had a running time of my phone's full "awake time" and that I don't like, since it's rare. I uninstalled the KB and sure enough, battery life back to normal. Coincidence? Maybe, but it wasn't worth the risk.

+1 plus no secondary keys visible. And like another poster said, no auto cap where my stock one does. Stock is hands down better in my opinion. I think the hype of being able to get dx multi touch was more than It delivered. Also note my stock kb lags while I type this but not nearly as bad as the dx

Do we have one yet? I love that keyboard on my wifes new Droid X and I have the old non hapatic working version would love to know where to find one that works perfectly on my dInc :)

This keyboard is BEAUTIFUL. I actually might like it better than swype! Thanks for the download :)

Now if we can just get that pesky space bar to be wider, I think it would be perfect.

Is this possible to do? The main thing I like about the droid X is the stock texting app..it is really smooth and nice..besides the easy keyboard I am slowing pulling away from the X and going back to Incredible..I honestly feel like it is my old Eris, it lags, it freezes, battery life isnt good like some people claim, call quality isnt worth it. But I would like to get the stock texting app..since I have the phone if someone can tell me how to pull it off Id be willing to try. Thanks

Anyone know If its been updated so less lag when using online, and working autocorect. Last version I saw had haptic feedback, but lagged online, and text prediction and auto correction was poor.
