Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

color me red cause now im mad...
6/2 order here and still nothing...
to top it off i am now informed that my order is shipping on 7/1 and ill receieve it AFTER the 5th... this is bullshit

HOW HAVE ORDERS PAST THE 2ND BEEN SHIPPED ALREADY!?!?!?!!?!?!

Amazingly enough I set up my bill for payment and less than an hour later got my info....kinda hinky if you ask me.

That has to be painful knowing it's has arrived and not be to there greet the fedex man with a kitten

ship date: 6/24

called cs today to followup on status from yesterday.

offered a $10 credit. declined and asked to speak to a supervisor.

supervisor stated that they were told that shipments could be delayed up to 5 business days but they don't have any other information.

told they do not have the ability to upgrade shipping since it's handled by their supplier.

told that if you do not receive an email notification by 3pm (local) then it's not going out that day since that's the cutoff time.

was offered a 1 month credit.

was offered a phone call next friday to update status.

plan to wait a week and see what happens. if it ships sooner then great. if not, they'll need to offer a compelling incentive to convince this former bell atlantic customer to stay.
 
I think this thread illustrates how all of us sharing our date info is nulliness. The shipping patterns are so erratic that it makes no sense to get jazzed or bummed about another persons information.

My approach to get through this wait (and avoid a deep case of AIGS) is to just not care. Yes, I'm excited to receive my new toy, I mean phone, but to agonize over the lack of delivery is just too torturous for me.

How is everyone else coping with this? What are your mental/emotional techniques? Chime in and help others.
 
Just got off the phone with CSR with some good news! Not only was i irritated to begin with because of the 3 week wait, but now my anger is on a level reserved only for the most homicidal of consumers because my 6/25 date got moved to 6/28! Nice. Now i have to drive all the way to the store, buy a punching bag and paste a picture of a vzr rep on it just to get by over the weekend. Oh. And the overnight shipping i was first quoted when i bought the phone? Yeah. Now it's 2 day. I expect a verizon employee to hand deliver this goddamn thing to my house for my trouble. God...damn!

Order date via 611: 6/4
Promised ship date that turned out to be bunk: 6/25
New ship date: 6/28

Funny thing...i could probably order a droid x the day it comes out and have a 2 day wait. But really. 4 inches in my pocket? I already got 8 inches in my pants. Hey-ooooo
 
Oh and the 5 day delay, i can confirm that. He told me they've just received notice of the 5 day delay when he bumped my order to 6/28. I asked...if my order was 6/25 and there's a 5 day delay, shouldn't my order be 6/30? He stuttered and said "it'll be 6/28. I know it". Yeah. Way to make no sense verizon guy.

He also said i'd get a text message notifying me of the delay if it got delayed any further. Really. Wouldn't i have gotten one today notifying me of my bumped date if that were the case? Don't believe anything they say. Someone sing me a song so i can feel better
 
You know what the next phase of anguish in this whole affair is don't you?

Our phones will all be delivered 2 weeks later than promised AND be covered with oil from the Gulf, which would void the warranty and Verizon tell us to go after BP for a replacement.

There is seemingly no end to this managerie.

I agree with you on the "just not care" business. I keep telling myself that in the grand scheme of things it really isn't the end of the world. I have a roof over my head and can afford to feed and cloth my children. I think I can wait for a new toy.
 
Ugh, they pushed back my shipping date. This is frustrating.

Originally said 6/24, then said 6/23, actually shipped today (6/25) and it's not coming till the 29th. I think it's coming on the 28th because right now it is now in Ontario, CA when I am in SD.

I am genuinely pissed. Never buying online again. I'm probably going to trade this in for the Droid X anyways. Going to BB for that.

Seriously ruined a good day for me.
 
Been watching this thread since I ordered on 6/5 .. still waiting btw.. but read this earlier... wonder when they will switch and we won't get the phones we actually ordered...

Hey everyone...another 6/4 here. I've been reading but not posting since i'm blocked at work and this site is not always blackberry friendly....(hourglass..hourglass...)

So anyway, absolutely f-ing needless to say, i did not get my confirmation. I called up the rep just now and she didn't even give me a new estimated date...then i asked how she's planning to compensate me for this poor excuse of service..after 20 min she comes back to tell me she'll credit me 150 minutes. I felt like i was playing deal or no deal. No dice lady..i never go over my minutes. Give me something else.
Another 10 min later she says she'll over me a phone case. I said no deal. I already bought all my accessories from your damn store the day i ordered the phone. Give me something else. She couldn't offer me anymore but a promise for her supervisor to call me on Monday to discuss the situation.

I asked her why do i have to wait for Monday when your company offers 24/7 customer service? Of course no answer. I'm just going to call back tomorrow to see if i get a more generous supervisor! =D
What's the average amt people are getting credited to their accts? I have two Dincs on order!!!

I've pretty much given up at this point. When it comes it will make my blackberry curve burning party even more fun! We should all take "trash the phone" pics.....

I'll update you all when i get any signs of life from VZ..thanks for all the laughs! (My husband thinks i'm crazy because i'm always laughing at my phone and telling him what babyblues et al wrote...of couse i just get the eye roll from him! But he has yet to experience smartphones..this will be his first one so he'll be one of us soon enough!!!!)

If what HTC says is true and there is no discernible difference per the update...and it helps get phones out faster...than I'm all for it. I could care less what the screen is as long as it looks good.

I's kind of strange to have gone through the whole "new phone" hype: researching, purchasing, waiting excitedly, getting frustrated, wondering why I'm so hyped over a piece of plastic (smart plastic), and then finally to just not care.

I agree.. but these are the same ppl who have been giving us ship dates...:mad:
 
i just spent about 22 minutes on the phone with a (finally) VERY nice verizon csr. most of that time was me on hold while she tried to locate my order since im not yet a verizon customer. im a 6/4 near philadelphia and the girl said they found my order and it did go out today.

Well took the kids to the train museum today, my 3 year old LOVES them. Got caught up, looks like there is still some order progress, which is good. I didn't get an email from Verizon stating 5 days late, so I am assuming my ship date is still on schedule :-P Of course if it isn't they will be hearing my displeasure. Congrats to the 6/2 and 6/3ers who got their shipping notice!
 
Mine also shipped out today...Dumb thing is, overnight shipping and FedEx doesn't deliver on Saturdays. Oh well, Monday is almost here.
