"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Pissed off no driod where I went...
Thought it would have been for sure...
You would have thought it would be at verizon wireless amphitheater in irvine but noooo nothing in the parking lot.. Didn't go inside cause had to get to work...
but nothing out of the ordinary like no weird car or verizon employee

but you don't really think that someone would stand out there with it til it was found do you? Did anyone see the Tony Hawk thing about a month ago or so where he had people take stuff out in different parts of the country, stuff like his games and clothes n boards, this is kind of the same thing, except Tony gave real clues, it was on twitter also.

Droid X designate #12 has been spotted in the heartland. Sending out amber waves of hdmi.

The heartland? Where's the East Coast love!?! lol

The heartland one is going to be in Oklahoma for sure...but then again, I have been wrong so far.

what does amber waves mean??

I always understood it to mean the fields of grain plants. When they're mature they are an amber/light brown, and if they're planted dense enough then I guess the wind blowing it makes it look like amber waves. ^_^ Of course, I could be totally wrong. It's just my guess.

I'm also wondering if these hints are just early hints with no Droid X's actually being 'dropped' until the 2nd. What does anyone else think about that?

why the 2nd?

As I was obsessing and Google searching on this like crazy last night, I kept seeing references about one of the teaser videos reflecting the date 07/02/2010 in the eye. But, I never found anyone give an explanation that sounded reasonable. Most seem to think it was an error on the release date, that maybe was for 7/2 then it got moved back to 7/15....

Here's my thought on this whole mess: there are supposedly at least twelve out there. At the rate of these clues, it will be a month before we get a legit enough clue to actually find any, unless someone gets really lucky with a wild shot-in-the-dark guess. And as others have stated, will they really leave a box sitting somewhere with a $500-600 phone in it? What if someone with no clue about the "hunt" stumbles upon it. Lost and found? eBay? Who knows? I'm getting discouraged here. Someone change my mind and get me pumped again...please.

Bing Amber Waves and this is two things that came up that caught my eye. The Diving Co. is in Kansas and the first is self explanatory.

Thats where I would be going...

I just get all the twitter messages texted to my phone.. I juts read them..

Until one says something about Atlanta I am not that excited...

Just hoping someone this thread actually gets one. That would be sweet. And to let us know what to look for.

We should all just call them and leave them a message and ask them if they have the droid x lol. That would be great. They comes to the shop in the morning to find 40 messages asking if they are in possession of the Droid X.
