Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

For those waiting. I just say. Once you get the tracking info you will feel so good. Tracking info received 6/25. 2 day shipping. Yet i still have almost three days to wait but it feels so good knowing.

This thread is great I got my Inc a couple weeks ago but I still visit for the laughs. Not laughing at you poor souls still waiting but the funny post from those still waiting. Good stuff. :D And with people coming and going all the time it keeps the humor fresh!

Looks like I was right....that silly customer service was talking smack....there is still no tracking number.....glad I did not get to excited....lol....I will see my phone someday....just hope it is before next weekend....lol

My VZW hard shell case came with a cardboard insert of the DINC and I did the same thing. I was holding it, had it on the counter near my keys... "hey look everyone, you like my new "phone"? hahahahah

I didn't get the vzw case but mine came with the insert too - I was like a kid playing pretend - took it out of the plastic and held it up to my ear and had a conversation with the CSR. lol.
 
Perhaps someday I will look upon this whole "incredible" fiasco with tender indulgence..BUT NOT NOW!!!!!!

I used to think getting a cell phone was a simple affair. Chooses a carrier and a plan that suits you and select a phone..use it for a few years and renew the contract or get another one..pick an new phone..use it for a while and so forth and so on...

Looked at that way, it is not only simple, it's downright monotonous.

Enter Verizon and the "Incredible" nightmare..only they've changed the rules to the monotony being an endless litany of excuses, double-speak and unfulfilled promises. We've gotten tracking number fabrications and delivery date failures, we've heard cancellation policies that seem to vary depending on whether the customer service rep got up on the right side of the broom this morning.

In the grand scheme of things, I suppose a phone is little beans but to those of us that stand and wait, it has become a "Grail" item.

I enjoy coming to these forums and reading what is happening and thank everyone here for generously sharing their experiences and giving everyone a pulpit on which to vent.

I stand with you my friends, our day will come when we too can pinch squeeze a photo or scroll through multiple apps on the Incredible. let us not forget those we leave behind on these forums that came after us, when our day of reckoning is at hand.

Same delivery schedule! Can't wait. Although I will probably be worth crap on Wednesday cause I plan on putting the screen cover on it first then charging it - then playing with it.....
 
Here's my Incredible/Big Red story - I responded to an early update offer on 5/18. Agent over the phone told me the Incredible would ship the next day. Come to find out it was about three weeks back-ordered. That phone eventually arrived, about 6/3, but it was a dead phone (would not start up). Verizon promised to next day ship a replacement on 6/9. Come to find out, again, that the phone was about 3 weeks back-ordered. In a nutshell, Verizon agents twice gave me information about the availability of the phone that was just dead wrong. I cancelled the whole upgrade with Big Red and went with a local Verizon "in direct" agent who had a phone waiting for me.
 
I have been creeping around the forums and finally placed an order for my incredible yesterday at the verizon stand in bjs. I payed 300 up front but will get a $100 verizon rebate and a $50 bjs gift card due to a promotion so in all it cost me $150. Anyways after reading how long you guys have to wait, I am not expecting anything till august :(

Was wondering, does BJ's have a separate contract on top of the Verizon contract?

Got my shipping notification at 10am this morning....I got overnight delivery so we shall see when it actually is gonna get here.

Order Date: 6/4
Expected Ship Date: 6/25
Actual Ship Date: 6/27?
Estimated Delivery: 6/29 by 3pm

I better get my notification late tonight that my phone is shipping tomorrow...,OR ELSE......i will continue to wait of course. Grrr...well on a happy note, i ordered a DecalGirl Zebra skin....it actually might get here after i receive the phone as long as there are no more delays and they ship my F*N phone tomorrow! Got a clear hard case, standard battery for backup, car charger. Now i think ill get that seidio innocase. That seems to be the case to get. I have been playing around on my moto droid downloading better keyboard skins and wallpapers and widgets and stuff so i have an idea of what i'ma do when the phone actually gets here. LOL! I cant stand to wait anymore. Husband just walks away from me as soon as i say anything that may evolve into the incredible conversation. He told me i was obsessed last night....OBSESSED...are you kidding me?!? lol fingers X for 6/5 r's in getting our shipping notice! (and of course anyone before that still waiting)

Congrats I'm a 6/5 and that atleast gives me some hope. I'm an expected 6/25 ship date as well.

BP Man,

I feel your pain. I have never had the latest and greatest phone, but thought I might as well go big or go home this time. Looks like I will be at home a lot patiently (or not) waiting for a delivery. I keep hoping that at some point a Verizon big wig will announce that the wait is over and all on back order can just stop in a local store and grab one. I know, my fantasy, but it gets me through the days.

P.S. What does BP mean?????

well on my arrival date i just kept refreshing fed ex page with a wireless mouse as i stared out the front window. Does that count as OCD?
