Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Seriously, though, my optimistic alter ego is hoping to receive it by the end of the week. The fact that I'm traveling and have asked to reroute it could be yet another wrench in this entire debacle, however...
I did leave a signed note taped to my front door about leaving the phone there in the event it doesn't get rerouted. As an alternative, I asked that it be held at the closest Fed Ex store/facility. Worst case, if it gets returned to Verizon, I'll just order the X.
Which means I'll have another wait on my hands. LOL, thank goodness for having a sense of humor.

I'm a 6/4, and new to Verizon. I signed up for service and ordered a Droid Incredible on the same day. I got my email on with Fedex shipping information 6/27. So I wouldn't assume that you won't get an email just because you're a new customer, but it is possible since there are people who have just simply got their phones without an email at all. Make sure you have someone available to answer the door on Tuesday

thats not gonna happen, we all work, I will either deal with it and let it go to the fed-ex and pick it up there, or try leaving a note I guess

LOL... Thanks for not bailing on me! I'm just wait, wait, waiting like everyone else! I wish I'd ordered mine with overnight shipping, however, from the sounds of other folks here it would've never made a difference... They'll ship two-day whether you like it or not!!
I was hoping to have mine by the weekend so that I could shove a firecracker in my BB Curve and give it the proper send off!
lol....my Voyager still works pretty good so I think I will be donating it to the Domestic Abuse place that was mentioned here earlier.....

Yes I got my notice...it was supposed to ship on the 25th but it did not till the 27th....mine is going to the store where I ordered it so I was not sure I would get an email but I did so chances are you will also. Give it till later today and you will probably have one....if not call them!

Actually this is where I've donated all my old phones, so the BB Curve will be showing up within the next couple of weeks! Come on, Verizon... give me hope!

You will get it.....what I am trying to figure out is that it shipped on the 27th...was supposed to have overnight....well we all know how that goes...and it will not be delivered till the 30th....I believe that is 3 day shipping....or am I crazy!

DON'T EVEN JOKE ABOUT THAT BP, I'VE HAD A SCARE OR TWO ALREADY, FIRST TIME I USED CAMERA IT FROZE, WHOLE device froze on me once, etc. Of course i haven't set it down in 3 days

Hey all you hostages that are wanting to change over to the X will find this article interesting which states that Verizon will now let you cancel your inc order for an X. Check it out, just came out about an hour ago! I on the other hand will continue to bite my nails waiting for the incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Fedex's shipping policy: They deliver on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for standard orders. Special priority orders(Note: not us) can be delivered on Saturdays. So if you get a Fedex notification that it shipped on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the earliest you can possibly get it even if you have overnight shipping is Tuesday.
I don't see why you would be scheduled to get your package on Wednesday though, it should be Tuesday like the others who shipped on 6/27. Maybe Fedex is really busy.
Same with me except mine didn't survive unless you consider this minor cosmetic damages. lol.

went from sort facility to local facility last night....but something tells me that they will deliver it to the murfreesboro facility today, and I wont get it until scheduled tomorrow...so just thinking out loud.... its at a hub 25 mins north of me, and today it will travel down the interstate, less then 5 mins away from my front door, to go to a facility 15 mins south of me.

Shipping Notice: Nothing yet, but the trend on this thread was leaning to people receiving their notices 1 to 2 (or 5!!) days after the Ship By date.
I spoke to a CSR who said The Dreaded 5 Day Delay is what the CSR is supposed to tell everyone who inquires about their ship date "if your ship date was up to 6/28 then an additional 5 day shipping delay MAY occur" Those after 6/28 will not be affected.
Hopefully getting my hands on this phone will reignite the excitement I had before all the frustration

Any 6/5's get their shipping notices this morning???? Just called CS again...i need restraints or a way to deactivate the 611 call on my phone. No info yet. Very nice CSR who said she would be glad to let me know when the tracking info shows up. Asked if she could upgrade me to overnight shipping. This is possible, i have had them do it before after shipment went out. The csr's will tell you that they can't change it and that you have to call fedex, but what you do is have them call fedex while you are on the line and request that the shipping be upgraded to overnight. It is then in fedex's hands, and as long as the request is put in shortly after they receive your package for shipment, they are usually able to get it changed. Sorry for the lengthy post..and again any 6/5's getting notice?? i hope it goes today!

Fedex needs an indirect signature. i just leave a note that says, i give fedex permission to leave package on doorstep. Then sign your name...they will take your note with your signature and tape it to their shit...works for me.
Don't worry the Memphis warehouse is a day behind on orders so you will be getting your inc on Wednesday.

Originally, I ordered the Incredible on 6/17 and was told that it would first go out on 7/17 but by the end of the call they told me it would go out on 7/21.
Zoom ahead to today..
I was told that the very earliest that I could expect it to be shipped is 7/28 and more likely after that. The backlog is getting so long that they cannot keep up with the orders.
There is simply no excuse for this nonsense. I could chew steel and spit ten-penny nails right now.
