System Upgrade 1.47.651..1 (21.43 MB) Now Available

Charged my phone up to 100% after the update... been unplugged for 30 minutes and Im still 100%. Prior to the update I would be at 91% by now. Is it just me?

Apparently, you don't have Windows....

It got to be a habit to check if your Windows upgrade really applied by checking for an update again. Bad habits take a while to die.

For those who haven't updated yet, perhaps it would be a good idea to backup your data, restore your phone to factory default settings, and then run the update. It's possible many of the customizations, hack/tricks to get extended battery life is bricking the update/phone. Just my theory and 2 cents. :confused:
 
Update ran fine (HW ver 2) widgets intact, android wallpapers gone (who cares?), seems to be a touch snappier and 3g speeds up just a tiny bit.

I do get an operation failure, please check the su....anyone have an idea of what that is?

-Edit: Nevermind, its the overclock widget. Unrevoked does NOT work after update, even after attempting to re-unrevoke.
 
Update went perfect in Orange County, CA. I did it at about 9am this morning; only took about 15 minutes. Everything is smooth, and looks great. I can't believe the screen pulls perfect on any surface now... I was so skeptical about a software fix for the issue. Now my phone is PERFECT! Btw, I have a ver 002 phone from launch day at Sprint telesales!
 
Level 1 HTC support is worthless. No better than me looking stuff up myself.
Now they want me to sit around all day and wait for Level 2 support to call me back.

I told them they have 1 hour of I'm just taking the phone back. I'd love to help them figure out why 2x updates brick the phone, but I figure they should be able to test that in house.
 
During the update, the battery drains pretty quickly. I would make sure you have a 100% charge or make sure that you have it plugged into the AC adapter before you do the update.
 
Well things seem to be OK after I updated. I was plugged into the USB hole on my desktop and green light for full battery. Downloaded and installed, got some funky green circle with a status bar during the update. I was experiencing caffeine withdrawal so I walked away and got another cup, and when I got back it was all done. I booted up and things seemed fine, so far.

I did recheck for updates and it said there was one, but I bailed on that and confirmed to delete the download. Not sure what to think about the issue of not recognizing the update.

was fully rooted using Toasts Part 1 and 2.

flashed back to the stock sprint rom x.x.x..x.1
plugged phone in
offered update to x.x.x.6
finished that
plugged phone in
manual check for htc update
let me update to 1.47xx.xx.x
walked away fro 15 minutes
come back all is fine.

in st louis area.
 
So I just updated the software on the phone but I don't know the details of what was updated. Can somebody list the specifics of this software update.

I'm wondering the same thing. I don't want to do the update until I know everyone's thoughts. It's the 1.47 Update.

I got it about an hour ago. Haven't applied it yet as I use wireless tether a lot. Unrevoked here as I don't flash ROMs and just want the tether basically.
 
upgrade installed in South Florida. But hardware version remains at 0002.
2 problems with gadgets, cannot remember what they were, one was on the Sprint screen right in the middle - anything important there?
 
smooth here, uninstalled unrevoked and wifi tether and changed my scene to "clean slate"

after it finished, SU app reappered, but does not do any thing, as wifi tether fails, and unrevoked seems to do nothing. reloaded my saved scene and all is well. had 2 reapply a few widgets.
 
mine worked fine, just had to delete and re-add the widgets with launcher pro. had a weird glitch where my live wall paper was spinning when i change screens but that went away.
 
Hmm... well, I didn't think I had a grounding issue, but my touch screen works even better than before on all edges of the screen.

I had to remove and replace "Voice Mail" app, "Pandora" widget, "Desire LED Light" widget on my homescreens. (apps were fine in memory, just didn't load correctly onto the homescreen)
