Thanks, I turn off the phone and turn it back on, and still nothing about an update yet.
 
wallpapers were probably removed to save space. That is the only thing I could think of. I know that whe hackers make their roms, they usually get rid of things like this first to make the rom lighter
 
So far almost all runs smoothly but noticed:

-Shootme doesn't work. When loading, it fails. Says phone must be rooted, but mine never was and use to work.
-Yep, android wallpaper gone
-Changed my wallpaper back to stock walllpaper (no biggie LOL)

It's definitely snappier.

Haven't noticed anything on battery yet.. too early to tell.

Wifi - Not sure. The bars seem a little better, but don't know yet.
 
My camera doesn't seem to work anymore after updating. Anyone else having this problem?

Update: Had to reboot three times, but it's working again now.
 
Didn't get the update notification (NY) so I just had it search if there were any hardware updates and did it that way. About 20 minutes for me no problems (003). Wifi noticeable improvement and noticed the QIK app is updated. Haven't really played with anything else, but did notice no more android wallpapers also.
 
Well it looks like Sprint has a seasonal Stand By plan" for $9 a month. And for that they'll preserver your # and your contract freezes.

So if I take the EVO back today I'll still have a week when I go to get a new phone or at that time I can just cancel and start my service all over from 30 days.

Not a bad deal. I can get a prepaid for a month.
 
Update ran fine, couple of reboots, can confirm Shootme no longer works, oh well.. Everything else is running fine, 003 version...
 
Yeah, I did, still not working. Trying to reboot again now. I guess it might not be related to the update at all, but my camera is suddenly not working.

Not officially.

So far it has been confirmed that it:

- Fixes grounding issue
- Enables Wireless N (I haven't been able to confirm on my device though)
- Breaks root for now
- Device feels snappier (i can confirm this, loading bookmarks used to take several seconds. Now it's maybe 1 or 2). Scrolling feels better. More on this soon.
 
Took ~7 mins from notification that it was available to congrats message on 4G in NoVA. All widgets/applications work fine. Android wallpapers gone (didn't even know they were there in the first place though). Good luck.

Just wondering...did you unroot before applying the patch? Or just flash back to the stock ROM? Or does that unroot?

I would say a hard reset should clear that up. With some people bricking I can't say that with complete assurance.
 
i had to do a manual update.. but mine updated in bout 10 mins. no issues what so ever.. even my widgets worked.. Waco, TX.. phone is running with no issues..
 
My experiences, install went fine but took about 10-15 minutes (just be patient.)

I'm still awaiting HTC/Sprint's official change log but what I can gather:

-Wifi reception improved (N enabled? not sure)
-grounding issues fixed completely
-phone definitely seems faster, snappier. (Not my imagination, the manage apps screen now comes up instantly whereas before it took forever.)

As others have said, do not second update!
 
I installed new update, uninstalled unrevoked, then reinstalled it and it still works. anybody having same luck. But whenever I unlock it says, "operation failure, please check the su command" . Anybody know what that problem is. Is it the widgets?

Just restarted cleared everything working. Now i have everything working including root...
