Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

....AND the beat goes on.

Folks, I know I don't have a dog in this fight anymore (cancelled the Incredible order this morning) but I am still seething at what is occuring to all of you over this phone. In watching what you all have been told by different CSR's at Verizon and what I dealt with...I can only conclude that Verizon is stuffed full, from top to bottom with the biggest collection of crackpots and Loony Tunes that I have ever seen.

If I only knew how to start one of these forums I would invite you all over to the "Verizon, you can suck my Dinc" forum.

I apologize for the vulgarity but given the circumstances, I feel it is warranted.
 
I'm a 6/9--called 611 last night to ask about other issues with my plan (thanks to a terrible sales rep). CSR confirmed a 6/30 ship date, but I'm skeptical. Anyone else who ordered 6/9 get the same result from a 611 call?
 
Finally received tracking number... now I can post it....

Date ordered: 6/01
Date processed: 6/02
Date promised:6/23
Date shipped: 6/25 (2 day shipping)
Confirmed Date to receive: 6/29

6/8 here and I called just for poops and giggles....told me that it was supposed to ship 6/30 but there is a 5 day delay so it won't ship until 7/6. Confirmed overnight shipping and said it will be here before 4:30 on 7/7. We shall see...

I also have the same ship date (6/9). I called a few days ago and a CSR confirmed my ship date of 6/30 AFTER she contacted the warehouse. She said my order would not be delayed 5 days like others. She also confirmed that I have next day delivery. We shall see......
 
paid 6/8 and was processed 6/9

i figure im just gonna play it as low-key as possible on the 30th (promised date), as it seems like the real aggressive people arent getting any discounts or accessories.

we pay a ridiculous amount of money to verizon including landlines + fios + wireless, hopefully i can find a stoney csr with a little bit of leeway to help a brotha out

if i dont get it until the 7th im gonna be a little pissed. id switch to the x but ive already paid for 50 bucks worth of case/screen protector and the phones dont really seem that different

Called today after no email, "Users who ordered prior to 6/29 may experience an additional 10 day delay." After bitching about how they gave me a 6/28 date they gave me $25 off my next bill.

Keep the $25 and give me the damn phone :(
 
mine is still setting in Nashville. I assume it will make it tomorrow. should have had it last Friday but nooooo HTC delayed the phones and verizon couldnt tell anyone until we all were calling.

If loyalty buys ya something, let me know. I've had 4 to 6 phones since the days of the brick. I could tell you when that was but I'm so old now I can't remember lol.

It was quoted by my CSR when I placed my order and was the date on the website when I placed the order. I never received an email saying it would ship on this date, it was just the date promised when the order was placed.

Hey all, 6/5er here with an original ship date of 6/28 when I ordered online. I haven't called before because I knew I was signing up to ship by the 28th, but I didn't get any info today so it was officially time to give them a ring.

I spoke to a very nice CSR named Sabina. She told me my ship date was supposed to be on the 25th so I'm guessing she was just looking at a generic sheet.

She said that the phone hadn't shipped but it should go out in the next day or two. She said she would keep track of it and send me a text or an email.

I asked her about receiving a credit because the phone hadn't shipped out on time and she said "I'm not aware of any credits that we are offering." My response was, "well, we were promised a certain ship date and are being inconvenienced because that date has not been met." Without missing a beat she offered a $30 credit to the account which she applied immediately to the current bill. So be a little pushy if they miss your date and you decide to call.

Here's hoping that tomorrow will be the ship day because my office is closed on Friday and I DO NOT want to miss out on beach time to have to pick up a FedEx on a holiday weekend.

And folks, let's all remember that it is not the CSR's fault that the phones are late. They are just people like you and me and if you are nice to them they are nice in return. It may not get your Incredible faster, but spreading some love will make everyone feel a bit better.
 
Just joined and just ordered an dinc. They told me 1.5 months. Crazy. But I have a long time to decide if the X is too big. (which I think it will be)
 
I am really having second thoughts about the X. Thing is, I have already bought a case, battery, and invisible shield. So I think I will stick it out. Definitely going to try to get a service credit or something tho.

have you held the evo4g? i think its the same size as the droid x or relatively close
my friend just got it, and i messed around with it, definitely too big for my pockets

I have decided to take small consolation in the fact that Verizon is going to have an even bigger mess on their hands when they start receiving all of these 'used for 2 weeks' DIncs that will being returned for the Droid X, as well as all the cancelled orders. I'm figuring they will be having "buy 1 DInc get 3 free DIncs" sometime in October.

I can only imagine what the CSRs are going through right now.

I am wishing seriously evil things upon Big Red at the moment...

Hey RMT, sorry to hear that your still waiting for you Dinc. What was your initial ship by date? Also, has big red done anything monetarily to help ease the pain?
