Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Just called CS like many others. I ordered in store on the 5th, and was told today I would have it in my hands. Fed Ex has come and gone, so I called CS to get an answer.

The kind lady told me the wait for me could be as high as 10 days! I have never been so frustrated in my life about ordering anything. They cannot even notify me that I have to wait over the holiday weekend.
 
Just joined and just ordered an dinc. They told me 1.5 months. Crazy. But I have a long time to decide if the X is too big. (which I think it will be)

How long is that in dog years. Sheesh! 1.5... that is incredible

was supposed to have shipped today. Of course I got NO notification of that happening. I just got off the phone with the CSR. I asked about the delays and she said that there was in fact delays but that my order still showed a ship date of today, but unfortunately she didn't have my tracking number yet. She said it should ship in the next 2-3 days. I began to get a little angry and the poor girl started stuttering so I was nice and just let it go. I really hope to get a tracking number tomorrow...

have you held the evo4g? i think its the same size as the droid x or relatively close
my friend just got it, and i messed around with it, definitely too big for my pockets

Yes I have held the EVO 4G, I LOVE it. If Verizon had that, I would be all over it. But don't like the X's appearance, and I really want an HTC for Sense. The screen size I prefer the larger size to be honest.
 
Mine arrived at Dulles Airport this morning. I stopped by the Fed Ex Depot and they agreed to dig into the Cargo Container and find my Phone. It is Charging right now..... but even once fully charged I don't get to play! I have to take it into the Verizon Store in the morning and let them activate it swap numbers and remove the POS Droid from my account!

6/4 here...earlier I posted after a CSR said one of my phones shipped on friday and I should get it today. Luckily I've been around this forum long enough to know that no tracking number = no phone. I called back tonight to inquire again and this rep tells me that both my phones are still pending shipment. She confirmed that all orders are experiencing a 10 day delay but orders placed before 6/8 should be shipped by next week.
Tired of being !!!!!! on the status of my phone, I calmly asked for a courtesy credit and was finally granted the $25.
I'm so worn out over this roller coaster ride!

Hey I should know this but can someone tell me if the stock charger is via usb or wall charger?

My original ship date was 6/24, then 6/25.
After a lengthy discussion with a customer service manager on Sunday I received a $45 credit (which is half of that particular line's monthly charge). That basically happened after I told her that I was seriously considering taking my 4 lines (all smart phones, 1 unlimited), which are all currently out of contract, and jumping ship...not over the delay - but over the bull$hit way Verizon has handled the delay.

At this point I just plain don't have the ambition or desire to call VZW again. Reading today's posts just confirms the fact that we will not get any solid answers.

The stock charger is a USB/Wall Charger. It's one of the those where you plug the USB into the Wall charger clip.
 
FINALLY, just got my email confirmation. order placed 6/3
phone picked up from ontario. 6/28
estimated delivery. 6/30 by 7:00pm.
I can't wait!!!! =)
 
6/12er here. Im thinking mine will be at least shipped by this Friday or sometime next week (well I hope!) the rep on the phone told me I could check my order online..... Yea right that never has worked. (ordered in store on 6/12 at about 12PM EST)

"Your order will be sent to ship by 7/4"
ME-Thats a Holiday I won't get it until atleast the 8th. Can I cancel for the droid x?
HER: "You can cancel your order now if you like. OR since you've been so patient, you can keep it, wait til the 15th to decide if you want the X. If you do want the X I will notate your account to waive the $35 restocking fee."
ME-You're telling me I can play with my incredible for a week and then decide if I want to keep it or get the X free of charge.
HER: "You can actually wait a full 30 days to make up your mind. I'm sorry this happened sir I wish there was more I could do."
ME-Actually this is perfect. Thank you very much.

Yeah it's true. When I called an hour ago, the sales rep asked me if I wanted to cancel and preorder the x.

See my post above this... It's pretty accurate. Except as I've been told there is no plans for a pre-order for the X yet. She said one may be announced closer to the 15th, but its unlikely. She said they don't want another situation like this on their hands and have been assured that they will have plenty instock on the 15th...

Lol we'll see though.
 
JL, May I please get the name of the CSR you spoke to? I am debating what to do considering I have waited moderately patiently since the fifth. Seeing the 28th has come and gone and still received nothing, what should I do? Any advice would be appreciated.
 
Hello again. I hope that everyone who ordered on 6/9 gets their phone on 6/30, cause that means my 6/11 order should ship a few days later. Too bad I couldn't do an early upgrade at Best Buy, who can actually get the phone.
 
Oh Jeezus, this is like the end of one of those corny action flicks where two friends fight the entire time and in the end they end up half dead just laughing! People I found my angel and she said to me: Matt, after all the shit we put you through, your dinc you ordered on 6/3 has shipped and will arrive 6/30 by 7pm! Great gigantic balls of all things amazing, puppies! kittens! firetrucks! breasts! whiskey! beer! im so damn relieved this hell is almost over!

Glad to see you are most likely getting what you wanted. Seems like cs is offering a lot of different stuff to people depending on who you talk to. When the time gets closer I will see if I actually get my phone before august or else I will end up being quite mad because I get impatient :p
 
Another lurker posting here. I ordered 6/6/2010, processed on the 7th I'm sure in store. Was told overnight shipping absolute latest would be the 28th like everyone else.

I've called *611 twice today. First said they would research and get back to me tomorrow. I wasn't satisfied with this so I called back tonight. Again was put on hold to research the issue, and told it was back ordered and I would receive no later than the 4th. I said that it was back ordered when I ordered it 22 days ago, and I thought waiting over 3 weeks was already enough for something I've paid for in full, particularly since I was told I would receive it no later than tomorrow (6/29).

She said she'd speak to her supervisor and was put on hold...again. Upon return she said the phone would arrive tomorrow. No tracking number, no proof. I'm not holding my breathe.

They'll be getting another call tomorrow evening.
 
..... Considering I ordered the phone before I was done with my chemotherapy and always wondered which would come first: my last session or the arrival of my phone.
