"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Ohio is like 3/8ths the size of cali. Lol.

I have a speculated hunch of where it may be.

In fairfield Ohio, there is a store called amber waves, and a robotics factory... its a long shot, but that's things both posts have referenced...

Holy Sh!t i found one in Atlanta....

more details to come :D

on the phone with verizon now trying to activate it... dont know if i want to stop using incredible or set up new line...

Yup, pic or it didn't happen. Especially since there's not even any clues about Atlanta yet.

Also, how'd you find it? What was it, code, box, etc...?

Saw VZW rep picking up "package"

Said that there is a rep in each location that their job is to put it out in the morning and pick it up at night..

Atlanta clues were going to go out tomorrow. Doesn't know if they still will or not.

So gullible..

No I didn't find one..

But i did see a VZW rep acting hella suspicious walking around the GA dome in Atlanta tonight.. Why would a VZW rep (could tell from his shirt) be walking around GA dome, congress center at night?

Was thinking he planted something but didnt stop and look

You know we're not going to believe you unless you post a picture of it with a sticky note with your name on it right? ;)

Yea we should have known when you said "not sure if I want to use it over my incredible" haha j/k.

Damn you... lol ^_^ I just want to know what the heck to look for, because I already know the chances of them putting one in Central Florida are slim to none. So, I'll take any little help I can get. I can't afford to drop $200 on a phone right now so this is my only chance at an upgrade anytime soon. >.<;;;

my guess is there is prolly a vzw store in the building with TBS, I'm pretty sure there is, right? but no one's gullible...no pic, no beLIEve. lol

Anyone think they are mobile? I don't usually associate Ohio with "heartland", the one in CA started on the coast and was moving inland, and the one in TX was seen heading south.

Cars randomly driving around the country would be easier to "place" than trying to put a box in a public location. It would be fairly simple to put a Droid eye on cars and the general public wouldn't think twice about it vs. trying to hide a box in plain sight.

I live in NYC, I actually walked by Hunter College on Sunday, and no package or anything. I actually saw a Verizon Store near the Subway which someone pointed out, went in there and asked but they looked at me like I had 3 heads. Maybe its J&R music world? Or city hall? Wait, maybe its Times Square, or Statue of Liberty, or I'm making myself nuts! Oh well, plus it doesn't help if you don't even know what your looking for. It WILL Not be a package if its NYC, my best guess is that it's one of those guys selling out in front of J&R Music World for Verizon, and if you mention DroidLanding they'll give you the Droid X. It makes sense, because alot of techies "assemble" there, and it's pretty crowded so maybe they should clear the area, plus they sell HDMI cables, and its NYC largest electronic store, so maybe I'll check it out their?

In moving vehicles? I doubt it. I know I for one would be doing some dukes of hazard stunt driving if I saw a car/van/whatever with a big droid eye on it. Children, kittens and old people be damned. They better be able to move quick cause I wouldn't be stopping. So doubtful its mobile. Too many bad possibilities there.

@FindDroidX thinks #12 could be in Fairfield, OH. It says that their is a store called "Amber Waves" there and it is home to KC Robotics.

Amber Waves
1981 Augusta Boulevard
Fairfield, OH 45014-4764

Hey I said that like 10 hours ago. Lol.

If it is though, I'm not about to drive like 3 hours and spend $50 in gas just to go check it out. We are pretty much speculating and making assumptions out of things that this person is typing...

We all are probably thinking too much and trying to dissect clues from simple statements... :-p

Plus, amber waves in fairfield is a beauty salon. Lol.

By mobile, I'm thinking more like a car drives to a place and sets up shop for a day, then moves on to a new location discretely. This would give more people a chance to find them rather than limit it to isolated areas.

Perhaps Ethanday is on to something. I looked up that lake for the heck of it, and there is a six flags amusement park there. There is also Six Flags Magic Mountain in California (a mountain would be at a higher altitude). There is a Six Flags up in NY State. There is a Six Flags in Texas, and Texas is South of Nebraska....
