Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I hate that they haven't gotten me set up to work from home yet........not that I'd be doing much work right now! Lol.

Ditto. I stopped in a Verizon store last night and they said I could cancel my (yet to be shipped) Incredible and they would hold an X for me on the 15th. I'm very much on the fence right now but wanting to decide quickly before the Incredible ships.

I see the phones as essentially equal. The extra size of the X doesn't bother me. And it has better battery life. I think the X is going to win.

Howdy all. I'm as new to the smartphone world as I am to this forum. Got a ton of Android wallpapers ready to load up, got a slew of apps on deck at appbrain - just waiting.

6/8 order
6/29 ship-by date ("promised" by VW order fulfillment supervisor on 6/8, with overnight shipping)

No email awaiting this morning.
Called CSR.

Obvious "I haven't gotten email, what's the status?" conversation.
Put on hold.
"Your phone will ship from FedEx today and should be there in 3-5 days."
"Great, but I believe I had overnight shipping."
Put on hold.
"You did. It will be there tomorrow."
"Great. So I'll get that tracking email today?"
Silence.
Silence.
Mumbling in the background like she's getting directions from the Dinc Excuse Manager.
"Uh, uh, yes?"

That was five long hours ago.
 
I am a little bit on the upset side now. I called *611 yet again to see if I could weasel any information out of them and said my order was "still pending." I think that was code for S.O.L. if you asked me. I guess the bright spot is they didn't cancel the order....

So pretty clear the 6/5s-6/8s have it the worst as far as delay, after that they jumped the date an additional week, based on their progress now that will be about right (for a little while, until they fall behind again). Still no 6/5s confirmed shipping yet that I saw.

I just canceled my 6/5 order and the store rep told me I'm on the list for a Droid X on the 15th. Best of luck to those of you with Incredibles. Thanks for your contributions, I learned a lot here.

I have been following/contributing to two other forums for quite some time and recently found this one. From what I've read in the last few pages you guys seem more my type. Anyway, I'm a 6/8 order that has been given ship-by dates of 6/28, 6/30, 7/1, and 7/9. I have called VZ CS three or four times only to be disappointed and frustrated and I dial *611 in my effin' sleep just to see if the message has changed. For the love of God, all I want is to get my phone before the long holiday weekend.... Is that so much to ask?:confused:

I finally decided to post on here and I am pretty upset. Back on June 9th, my sister ordered my phone online for me. So today I decided to call and just see when they thought my phone come in. They told me there was no record of ordering a phone in there. So it came to conclusion my order never went through. So now I dont know what to do because my bestbuy has some in stock or should I wait till the X come out. What do you guys think?
 
lol...this goes to show you that FedEx CSR have no idea either....I was concerned cause mine has not moved since Sunday when it was picked up. She assured me at 8:30 am this morning that it had left Memphis and was in route....lolol...well this is what I just saw my tracking;

Not only do I have my family here but my 'aunt' that I do part time for just saw my smiley face post on facebook and correctly guessed that it meant my phone had been delivered....she then offered to take care of the paychecks that have to be run so that I can go home and play. She is so f*cking great!! I told her I wouldn't neglect my job.....but I am stopping home to unwrap my baby and plug him in.
