So...while driving down the road, relatively bored, I decided to call my trusty VZW CSR and just get a status update (HA!)... recap: ordered 6/3 internet.
The nice CSR, after putting me on hold for about 10 minutes, came back and said that my order would ship out on 7/4...but since that was a holiday, 7/5. I asked her if she was absolutely sure (...right), and if there was any chance it would ship soon. She said "yes, she was sure" and "no, it won't ship sooner".
30 minutes later I RECEIVE MY SHIPPING NOTIFICATION!
Ordered 6/3 Internet
Shipped 6/29
ETA 6/30 by 3:00PM
Now as long as they don't decide to recall my shipment!

I have seen 6/11 orders going out last week.
I just saw on AOL that Bloomberg is reporting the Verizon will begin selling the Iphone in january 2011.
If this is true, I cannot even imagine the level of chaos and stampede rushing that is going to cause with a company that can't handle regular folks that looked forward to the "Incredible" launch, never mind the "Cult" crazies that are attracted to the Iphone.

You clearly know nothing about the innerworkings of VZW. Logic and reason have no place there!
Thats for sure! I know alot of people were suppose to have 2day and many overnight, and many that were supposed to be overnight were actually 2day, and I just got my confirmation that mine is overnight, and I didn't even ask for it so they definitely are being upgraded, but i am sure not all orders rofl.

WOOOHOOOO 6/4 just got my notice!!! and it should be here tomorrow! I was told I had overnight but I was skeptical, but the verizon guy from teh store i ordered from just called and said its do to arrive tomorrow!!!!!!!
edit:all I wanted it by was the weekend! so even if I don't get overnight I should have it easily by then!!!!!

Yea, I'm pretty sure those people were lying to get a rise out of us
I was thinking the same thing to but a VW CSR said that they have heard of that too. Who knows with how reliable VW CSR's information has been.

I gave up keeping up w/ ship dates a long time ago.
they said my replacement would ship on 6/30 and I just accepted it, don't expect it, and go about my life.
Backorder situations are unpredictable at best.

My 6/4 order has shipped! Finally! But i'm not excited. I swapped my order for the droid x. My incredible shouldn't have even shipped but it did. Saw this too. It begs the question, do you need an iPhone when you have access to a Droid Incredible, X, Shadow or the upcoming Samsung Fascinate? I'm not being cynical or anti Apple, just curious if it's as big of a deal for folks now that there is legit competition in the smartphone market. Thoughts?
