Did you look around the sign out front? I'm nowhere near there but from the satellite views it looks like the guitar sign is actually anchored on the street below (looks to be 30 ft down); maybe it's down there and not up on the same level as the restaurant?
i dont think the droids would be outside, or in a suspicious box.

i think it should be fairly obvious if you were to find one.
you know with all the 9-11 stuff, and bomb scares.

great, i wrote the b-word, now im on the fbi list.

I couldn't find it there this morning...I think it will be there, not just yet...

haha good work man...im thinking it could still be at night as well...but the hall of fame closes at 5 every day but wednesdays and saturdays....im still going to look into that laser light out from the hall...but thanks for the heads up on hard rock man....maybe we will get it eventually!!!

Plus ill be there to add some eyes to the situation tomorrow. Maybe my geocaching skills will come in handy.

AmberWaves of hdmi.....that reminds me of fireworks exploding on the 4th!!! :)

and will places like Texasmotorspeedway have a fireworks event???

I checked on this earlier and they had one yesterday (07/01) and a short track race. If anyone sees anything around TMS regarding the #12 VZW Dodge or Justin Allgaier(sp?), they should look around there probably.

I think the 4th of July celebration idea is a good one, but just to look at it from the other side consider this. The whole purpose of this contest is to promote the phone and also Verizon. Looking at it from that standpoint why would they set something up for only 1 night and take the freak chance that no one comes by to claim the phone? If the phone never gets found then that will look bad on Verizon. Just an idea.

Also I would like my credit for pointing out the "it has no choice" statement about 5 pages ago...

ok so ive been following this whole thing trying not to get sucked in but i couldnt help it. And nobody has brought up that some of the clues (start your engines, start at the keys and work your way up, way south, dixie, etc...) might point to the NASCAR race at Daytona this weekend. Verizon sponsors a car in the Nationwide race and they put on a big fireworks display.

and i just googled "verizon daytona" and there is a verizon store right across the street from the speedway on international speedway blvd. take it for what its worth but in think a lot of the clues have pointed to florida already right?

"Droid X designate #9 is where the humidity is as high as its processing power."

I swear the humidity here in VA is higher than anywhere else in the US right now. C'mon Droid X...

I live in Tampa so I would love #9 to be there since the humidity is always around 90% but surely they wouldnt put 2 in 1 state.

makes sense. maybe the clues point to a nearby verizon store. maybe the Ohio clues point to a location between the Rock and Roll HOF and the Hard Rock Cafe? Who knows. But theres also the rock and roll city studios in Cleveland.

Does Atlanta have 100% humidity most days like we do here in VA?
I looked around to see if anything exciting was going on up in the Richmond Area this weekend but ...sigh nothing really big.

Wikipedia says Key West and Houston feel the most humid because of high dew points, but Forks and Olympia, WA are the most humid in terms of relative humidity ..

My initial thoughts were Houston or somewhere in Louisiana, but that's just because I have direct experience with those places.
