"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Now that I think about it, it might be at a Verizon Wireless store. Even if you power it on (as instructed by a previous tweet), it still needs a data plan and etc to function. Assuming they're giving away the phones but not data plans, you would need to be at a Verizon Wireless store or at least very close to one to really turn on and use the phone.

Check the park in the area with all the curves on Lombard Street! I have a strong feeling it is there... I looks like it is on a hill with higher altitude, you would need navigation to get through that area, and it is on Lombard st.

That was the George Sterling Memorial I mentioned previously.

I'm posting this one more time in case you missed the first one mahers:

725 West Lombard St, San Francisco University Biotechnology Cybernetics Lab

-Droid designate #3 is using all its 1Ghz processing power just to navigate Lombard St.
-Droid X designate #3 is in California. The most powerful cybernetic machine since Arnold took office.
-Droid X designate #3 is near the west coast. Droid hunters are advised to start looking at the shoreline and work inland.

Seriously dude? Do you think Verizon would go to those lengths? You are stretching big time. It's not a million dollar diamond :D

ok so i walked around coit tower and nothing. gonna spend a feww quarters to use the pay telescopes then try that lab mmentioned above...damn!

I could be wrong, but I don't think it'll be at a relatively obscure location.

I think it'll be somewhere where it's not totally obvious.. but still known to the general public. It'll probably be like one of those "ah hah!" moments rather than searching for random businesses that match the description

Is there a park or anything for mount davidson? It's shown as the highest elevation in SF. I'd also look at the George Sterling Memorial mentioned since it seems to be highest elevation around Lombard.

Well it is on Lombard St. and it has the word cybernetics in it's name! C'mon guys, I'm trying here haha.

We need to ship in some recruits to help Mahers out... lol I think the lab would probably be a pretty good guess since it appears to not be very far from the coast!

I think he already looked there.

Oh that sux. Looked like a good spot. I see where he checked it now.

If you use Google Navigation and put in Lombard St. as the destination where does it take you? It might be there since it says that It is using it's 1GhZ processor to "Navigate Lombard St.".... Just thought it might be saying to actually "navigate" Lombard St.

I swear that Pioneer Park and Coit Tower make so much sense when you put the clues together. It's at the end of Lombard St., it overlooks the city aka high elevation, and it's near the coast.

Did you look really good there mahers? ;)

Do you guys geocache? Look EVERYWHERE. Every metal post sticking out of the ground, every table, bench, tree knot; everything. People can be sneaking jerks when hiding things!!!

PS... take pictures of ground zero so us other X hunters across the nation have some idea what we're looking for.

My brother while geocaching once found himself in the middle of a parking lot and yet it said he was right on it. Turns out he was next to a street light that he had to left the bottom of to find the item.
