"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

No offense, but that map is crap. It's just people guessing locations, nothing solid.

None of this is solid haha. But I do agree, I just saw it posted by someone else in this thread and thought it could be helpful. If I get bored I might update it to make it actually useful. Anyone with a Google account can edit it.

I tried to add locations, but couldn't figure out how, so I gave up. Some of the guesses are WAYYYYYY off base. People just want it to be near them...funny stuff!

Someone is just putting out their guesses based on the clues. Nothing official or anything, and I probably wouldn't look too much into it.

No idea, I'm still waiting for another #7 clue before I do anything else. I'm also pretty sure the poster of these clues is an idiot and there is no hidden meaning to them. The clues are either far to vague or list something specific... and when the specifics are looked at there is nothing found. The people on this site are definitely above the average person who is looking for these droids and we still haven't gotten close to finding one.

It's unfortunate but this is looking like a promotion that was poorly planned and is being ran on the fly. There will probably be real specifics posted within the next week and it will be a mad dash to the locations.

You and me both ;)
oh yes, and i drive around for work, so its on! muahaha

but seriously, someone on here needs to find one fast.

The last clue is going to be on July 15th.

"Motorola realized they could track down the escaped Droid Xs by using the built in GPS. All have been taken back to headquarters. Buy yours today for only $199 after 2-year contract!"

If they do that I'll e so annoyed I'll threaten to never use Verizon and then break down and buy a DroidX anyway. lol ^_~

I hope they're not that big of jerks though...

New user here (and soon to be new Android user - free or otherwise). The assumptions that have been derived form #12 bother me. Not sure if this has been looked at before but the 'it has no choice' reference and 'rocks' references point to the big house in my opinion. Now, if you want to take all the possible meanings for the rock - Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame and Hard Rock Cafe - and combine them with the fact that there is a prision in close proximity to both of these locations, you can now maybe do some triangulation? I honestly think the 'rock and a hard place' assumption is a REAL stretch...

Joel

edit: Oh, and for a disclaimer, PLEASE don't go poking around the prision grounds just because I said it was a posibility. The guards don't really like it...

i think all of these are going to be located at the same place, and i still think that could be a blockbuster to co-promote the new on-demand application. they really need the publicity right now, other than news of them being broke.

i don't think these are going to be sitting in parking lots, hidden behind signs, or in casinos or restaurants. i think they are going to be in a place that ties in with a verizon/droid x application, and blockbuster is the one that makes the most sense to me.
