Anybody who had 4g in new york lose it all of a sudden. Mine hasnt worked since Monday before the update?
The keep turning on and off the switch here in NY. Yesterday and today I've gotten 4G all day so far where i work, but not around where I live.

Mods, we have multiple threads on this subject. Anyway to combine them into one?
I already have combined a few of them into this thread. If you see any more, let me know.

I have seen a couple of job posting for Clear sales jobs here in Rhode Island, was thinking about replying just to see if they are going to be bringing 4G here. Providence has been promised 4g for awhile, i think back to 2006.

I'm in little Ballwin, MO, not too far from downtown St. Louis, and I checked up on Sprint's website whether or not I was in 4G signals. Well, it turns out I'm in the "Good" strength and just down my street is the "Best" strength. The problem is, I have gotten a 4G signal five times in the past month and they all lasted a second or two.

Just tell me when South Louisiana going to get 4G? We have great 3G coverage but need the extra ummph to make the Evo the best phone around.

So like when would we know when a place like NYC offically has 4g? I know its up and testing but when is it the real deal?

And technically 4g uses more battery correct?

When 4G gets rolled out in L.A., will south orange county be covered? I'm in Laguna which is south of Irvine. I went on antennasearch.com and found a clearwire tower .13 miles from my house. I don't know if that means I'll get 4G. And considering my 3G signal isn't very good, I'm not getting my hopes up. Do you guys know i south O.C. will get lit up

You were either on wifi or speedtest effed up which happens.

Nah I wasn't on wifi. I tried multiple tests and got very high rates more than what I'm getting now, however this was before the OTA update and was in mid-June, maybe a week or 2 after I got it on release day.

One thing I have noticed that in my recent tests I only got around 3Mbps at the most in any area of town (Arboreteum, UT campus, Burnet & 183, Cedar Park, Downtown). Not sure what has changed since the initial launch or with the oTA update but I can't get any higher rate.

Braker & Metric here.
Standing outside of my house, best of 3 tries: 2.20 up / 1.10 down
worst of 3 tries: 1.42 up / .02 down

Seems very inconsistent. Signal bars go up and down regularly.

HOLY CRAP. I just did a PRL update to 667 and now:
6.85 up / 1.91 down

Night and day difference now!

were you able to get data service at all? I never can with my Nexus One ATT at the stadium.

I was at Busch Stadium on 6/30 with my Sprint HTC EVO and did NOT get 4G coverage at any time in the stadium. 3g data service was functional 2 hours before the game (I posted a facebook photo), but during the game it was unusable.

I use gmail, live, yahoo and a private IMAP server and none were responsive during the game. One outbound IMAP/SMTP message was 'sending' for well over an hour.

Unfortunately, that also meant my phone sucked its battery almost empty during the game and was on the 'red/plug in immediately' level when I returned to my car. I did switch to Airplane mode at one point and started checking messages occasionally. Note: NOT on an airplane. In a stadium. ;)

Having read the the Clearwire June 28th announcement, made the experience a bit frustrating but it was a good day for a game.

Sat in the bleachers on Monday and had no problems. Even got some 4g service sporadically. Sat along the 3 rd base line on Thursday and had the exact problems you were having. Couldn't do anything. Tried to search something for some friends and couldnt get anything to ever load. Looks like Busch is a signal killer.

The 4G is still rather spotty, but definitely getting much better. I was running some speedtests as I drove south on Hillsborough Road through green hills the other day and was averaging between 2Mbps and 2.8Mbps - not blazing, but good. :-)

P.S. To everyone who is a fan of Nashville and likes board games or group games at parties, we have launched a Nashville themepack and Vanderbilt theme pack for our game! :-)

Just curious, am I the only CFL guy that noticed a quick 4G signal pop up for a brief few minutes?!

I was at work walking around my building and for about 3minutes I saw my 4G notification pop up and said 4G available network found. By the time I got to the 4G options, it went away.

If so, i hope it makes its way to Tampa.
