"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

They could still be in one place on a moving vehicle. The location of the phone would not change but the location of the vehicle carrying the phone could. My guess would be the vehicle must be something that takes a predictible and repetitive route to keep the tweets acurate. Like a bus, trolly or even an elevator.

edit: Could also mean that there are more to be announced...

OK, how about we start theories/ideas for what to look for.

I personally think they will be hidden in, on or around a billboard.

a. Some clues have mentioned "The next time someone tells you “hey, look at that”, "last seen near interstate 80. Drivers are advised to stay alert.", etc

b. I am sure Verizon OWNS some of its billboards, so it can do want it wants to them, i.e. modify, add a camera, attach a lock box (supporting the idea floated here, that it might be hooked up to a camera or something to detect or capture your image. "Keep an eye out for the Droid X in the wild. With a 4.3” screen it can keep a pretty big eye on you.", "Which means you can really see the look on your face when you find one." "Surveillance confirms all Droid X have dispersed.")

c. Billboards are next to roads, that millions of people drive by everyday, thats their purpose. Common area, open to the Public, accessible......

Just a thought to toss around. Since they aren't giving specific locations (yet) Worth a shot if anyone has one near them. Not sure if its possible to find a list of billboard that are owned by Verizon in the US, or pictures of new Verizon Droid billboards being put up. This could also go along with the latest tweet "Droid experts say some Droid X phones may still be moving. What they don’t know is who will find them." .....still painting billboards, hiding phones, hooking up equipment....

I think they started this as a cool promo let's hide phones. Didn't expect us to go to deep into clues and were like oh crap we don't know how to do this anymore.

Let's just ship them and still give worthless clues so no one can complain we didn't give any out.

There's cattle in urban areas in Chicago?

#14: Possible location(s): Chicago
-Droid X designate # 14 has landed in urban area. Its 1Ghz processor should be powerful enough to unite the Cubs and Sox fans.
-Droid X designate #14 is capturing a Northern Cardinal with an 8 megapixel camera.
-Droid X designate #14 is another Midwest landing. It

"Droid experts say some Droid X phones may still be moving. What they don’t know is who will find them."

"The missing Droid X phones aren’t going anywhere else. Unless someone finds them before you."

I quit.
I think they're trying to tell us that there are more we haven't heard about yet...

Gamble, the stockyards are in Chicago, and were the dropoff point for all beef going east back in the day...

Can someone just start a simple list with the Numbers and what state is suspected.....

#1:
#2:
etc....
#14: Chicago

something like this, I know the OP is similar, but just want something short and simple.....

don't know if this has happened to anyone else but i went to my twitter page and the latest post was the one about #14 being chicago, but on the droidlanding page that one is not there, just the one saying they are still moving

Yeah, I'm not seeing that on the the DroidLanding page yet either.

On list is probably a lot to keep up with. We can\should just make the first line (to include the suspect state\location) In BOLD

I like that, should be easier to read. If we need it any simpler, we should all get an iPhone, only 1 button and that's hard to miss, for the Easily confused - Not directed at you tMatt, directed at the iPhone users\pains

Can we get some more clues on #14 now? I'm actually working in the city today, and would definitely consider doing some snooping on my way home...

First them mention the phone scaring the cattle. Then they mention the Northern Cardinal. Then they mention an urban area and uniting the Sox and Cubs fans.

I don't know anything about Chicago whatsoever. Could the two animal clues be pointing to a zoo or stock yards? The animal clues don't really fit in with the urban clue so I'm probably taking it too literally.
