They can not, tried when i bought my omnia there, had to drive straight to the verizon store to get it worked out

I ordered in-store on 6/21, and if current timetables are any indication, I suppose it will ship about 10 days from now. That's way post-DroidX release and getting dangerously close to a likely Samsung Fascinate release.
I've been waiting for the Incredible since the G1 came out and I imagined a bigger, more powerful version of my old HTC Touch running Android. It's exactly the size I want. I'm a big HTC fan. I'm still willing to wait a little longer. But if the Fascinate gets a confirmed release date while I'm still waiting for the Incredible, I will probably jump ship (not interested in the X).
At this point, it's not a matter of being tired of waiting, I just can't see myself doing business with a company that handles their affairs so poorly. I can't really take it out on Verizon, so HTC will suffer the loss of my sale.

Anybody left alive in the asylum? I got my Dinc today and have been playing all night. Having a bit of trouble setting up one of my pop email accounts.. but it's a user thing I'm sure. Everyting is just incredible to say the very least. I love this phone!! I hope a lot of phones were received and shipped today. For all of you waiting.. gawd it's everything you've heard and a lot more. I was three days short of a month from order to receive and it was worth every agonizing minute of it. I've just started setting it up. Social stuff was super easy. The pop accounts should be but I'm lost on one account. Connection to my wifi was simple. Bluetooh to my stereo receivers was a walk in the park. Fast.. what else can I say? If there is a problem with this phone it's that it's so dang quick lol. Got to move my 16g sd card over and see if I can find my tunes before work tomorrow. I'm lovin it folks. . you will too!

Took Dinc to the store I purchased it for contact transfer tonight.
Get this.. they now charge $20 for that little trick. My rep waived the cost after I put in a good bitch or two about waiting all this time etc.
I'm a happy camper!

You have to account for weekends. So 10 business days until yours will ship.
That's funny because HTC was waiting for screens to come from Samsung, who was hogging most of them.

i'm just playing the waiting game, should have mine in my hands by tomorrow night! already have plans that night, so will probably charge it overnight and go in to verizon first thing saturday morning to get all the activation mumbo jumbo out of the way, then spend the weekend playing with it!

Day 32 for me and still nothing. Called VZW last night and was told they are "issuing a problem ticket to the distributor," and that I should hear something from them in 24-48 hours.
The typical excuse about "10 day delay" is about to hold no ground with me, because today I will have waited an additional 10 days!

I know, and it's one of the cruel ironies of this situation. I wouldn't say that Samsung is "hogging" the screens, since AFAIK, they're delivering what they're contractually obligated to. HTC apparently didn't anticipate the hit the Incredible would become, and didn't contract for enough screens. If that makes them a victim of their own success, then so be it. That's not my problem.
I just know I need a phone.

I'm on the phone with Amazon, they said people ordered the Incredible on the 3rd and 4th of this month, and they already have the phone. I ordered my Incredible in store on the 26th, won't get it probably until the 25th+. If I cancel my order with Verizon, and get it through Amazon, how does the pricing work? My line on my moms account is only like 10 days old and i'm using an old cell phone. Thanks for the help!

I just watched it the other day...I'm confirming the 88mph.
Also, after receiving no confirmation email from VZW when I ordered my phone online, I contacted them, and they said mine is still scheduled to ship on July 20th. So...we'll see. Pretty prompt reply. I was happy.
