Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

6/15 order here and I just call *611 and got the activation prompt but no e-mail yet. How official is that prompt? Is it definitely going to end up shipping today do you guys think?

EDIT: Just called back *611 to make sure but it was back to the main menu thing? Do they only prompt you once?

Why are so many people taking their dinc's to the store for activation? I am coming from a storm 1, is it that difficult to switch all the contacts, calendar etc. over??

I’m a 6/14’er and just got my shipping notification!!!

I am a 6/15er also, so this one gets me really excited!! I would call CSR and request your FedEx tracking info. If they have a tracking number in the system, then it has been sent to shipping. Good luck. Give us a report back.

No it is not difficult at all. If you have your info on your storm 1 already synced to your gmail account you are all set, if not download the gmail sync app for blackberry and sync all contacts and calendars to your gmail account.

The first thing your new Dinc will do is to prompt you to activate. You just push the button and follow the instructions. The second thing it will ask you is for your gmail account and password, once you enter that, all of your gmail contacts and calendars will sync for you.

Mine was activated and completely synced to my gmail account in about 4 mins. No problems, and definately not worth going to go stand in line at a Verizon store to get someone to do it for me.

If you are activating the phone on a different line that it was purchased under then you would need to go to the store, but other than that, I don't see any reason to go.

Enjoy your Dinc when it arrives, you are in for a treat!

Congrats, and drive carefully!! Don't be distracted by dreams of the Dinc. The next couple of days will be non-stop fun!!!

You can also use Sprite Migrate:

Worked perfectly fine on my Tour to the Ally when I had it (sent it back, DInc should be here hopefully Monday/Tuesday, 6/14 order in NC).
