ESPN Radio App...Finally!

i use i heart radio (free). then 760 AM in west palm beach is the ESPN radio. i am sure there are more around the country.

this would be a welcome adition, but not for 4.99, is there any GOOD straight a.m. radio apps out there?

Nope, they get you there. Try it. You can listen to like 5 shows, none of which are streaming like Mike and Mike or the Herd (my personal favorite).

I've NEVER listened to a show before where half the time I agree 100% and half the time I disagree 100%, all with the same person (The Herd).

Its insane but sometimes I am listening to him and I'm saying to myself "Yes, you tell 'em" and then 5 minutes later I want to kick him down a flight of stairs! :D

HAHA, thats really funny, I can see how some people would be that way. I agree with him 95% of the time, and sometimes when I don't, by the time he ends up explaining his side, he has persuaded me to join his ship :)

Most sports talk radio I just can't listen to though, Mike and Mike can SOMETIMES be okay, but I dunno, I just can't get enough of The Herd.

Mike & Mike is cool to listen to just waiting for The Herd to come on.
He is pretty out there though, but a lot of the stuff he says makes sense. I don't listen to it when Doug fills in for Collin though

Again, why wouldnt people be using RadioTime? It is $2.99 but you can catch live streams from around the world including plenty of stations with ESPNs lineup.

Just wondering.

Oh any time there is a fill in like Erick Casilias I change the channel in an instant. It's Colin or nobody haha.

I've been using Cherry Player to listen to 1050AM New York...it works FINE, but I went ahead and picked up the ESPN app anyway. I've spent more money on a lot of things that I DON'T use...but I'ma actually use this app EVERYDAY. Guess I'm an ESPN fanboy =P Must say that it's REALLY polished looking...my ONLY complain is that podcasts are streamed ONLY...they should be downloadable?!

its not like 5 bucks is alot of money lol you guys act like its your life savings...seems fair to me

$5 is a lot when you can simply get it free on ESPN's web site. They're asking you to pay $5 for the convenience of not having to go their web site. And you're getting ads anyway. Why should I pay for an ad-supported service?

OK. This could be a Godsend for me in the office. I'm currently forbidden from listening to espnradio on the net. But I have a few questions:

I don't listen to any music on my phone. Would I just be listening through the phone speakers or would I have to buy some small speakers to plug in? The phone speakers alone can't be very good, right?

My phone would essentially just be laying on my desk at work. Would I have to buy some sort of Sirius-style dock for the phone to be in?

Wouldn't this completely drain my battery throughout the day?

Thanks a lot.
