"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

You'd have to pay me a hell of a lot more than a Droid X is worth to navigate NY traffic at 4:45PM. My time is worth a lot more than that.

We really are going to need all brainpower to help collectively solve the 30 minute clues.

Agreed!

I'll consider myself back in the hunt too. I still find it odd that I only have one clue for the Pacific Northwest phone... and no clues were posted today for any of the other phones.

Hey - so uh... the text for both of these clues toward the NY phone didn't show up on my phone and that scares me.

Anyone want to help give me a notice when something appears in Socal? If I find the phone, I'll send a little something your way and even help give you the same courtesy if a phone pops up near you.

Let's work together! ;)

Hey, SoCal is mine! :)

they havent been showing up for me since a day or 2 ago :(

Really? You're that immature? :p

No sense furthering dividing ourselves. We really are going to need all brainpower to help collectively solve the 30 minute clues.

Immature? Immature was when everyone was bashing the people that were upset, and calling the people referencing geocaching crazy.

On topic, I'm surprised no one has found #4 yet. At least no one has claimed that they found it on twitter yet.

i still think its fun, i just wish i knew who this droiddecoder is that just started following me a few minutes ago on twitter, i only have that account to follow the droidlanding, i hate twitter

lol He just started following me as well. ^_~

I think if you are less than 1/2 an hour away you have a decent chance... How many followers are there for this? Maybe a few hundred thousand for the WHOLE COUNTRY?? Also, even more are only just finding out about the contest and probably didn't even think much of it to even try. Then consider that most people have to drive in, find parking, get lost and all.... if you have the GPS updated on your phone, you have a chance!

The ones with the best chance are the ones with the best knowledge, and that is US!

Somebody please TAKE VIDEO of how this goes down!!! If you're on this forum you should have a phone capable of taking decent video.

I don't think that additional 30 minutes will help much. The last clue sucked as much as the others. Long Time to a long pier isn't even a stretch, it's a leap into the abys. Add that to the fact that there was a well known piece of art in the vicinity known as "Long Time". That and head to the docks in a city surrounded by docks. Terrible clues all around. This is a race folks, plain and simple.

Stop searching! Droid X designate #4 was recovered today at 4:35 on Pier 66 in NYC. Congratulations Francis Choung.
