"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

I love how you guys are creeping on the man who found the phone...

For me, it's because I'm hoping he'll hurry up and brag about it, so I'll know what the certificate looks like, how well was it hidden/not hidden and were there any signs like a big Verizon van nearby or anything. lol

lol damn! He hasn't used Twitter since May 18th....So, we probably won't see a picture on there. Has anyone checked to see if he's one of the ones DroidLanding is following?

I looked at what i think is his twitter....did NOT look like he's following DroidLanding.

Maybe someone who is following it called him and tipped him off.

Looks like the only way I will be getting a Droid X from this promotion is if they happen to plop it down in a cornfield by my office in South Jersey.

Same here. Race ya to it!

Argh! I was foolishly hoping I was the only one. lol... And we both have the Eris so we are equally as desperate to get the X! I'm gonna have to quit my job and follow this full time to even have a chance of beating anyone to it. Good luck to you.

Like said before, let's collectively solve the final clues! That way it'll give each of us somewhat of a fighting change and won't matter as much for those located in the same state. Ppl from Chicago or so don't lose out on anything helping people in SF, or vice versa!

And also....They are giving away 21 phones... so shouldn't that meant that they need to give the coordinates to three phones a day if they're trying to get them all out before the 15th?? o.O

Sign up to have DroidLanding's tweets texted to your phone..

Does anyone have any details on what the area looked like when the winner got there? There is one guy, ChrisCCamp who said he got there a few seconds late.

Just wondering how the setup is for the next one.

Yeah seriously they still have a couple of clues/coordinates to give out today.

Or if they want to be done on the 13th.. they could give 1 out today, 2 out tomorrow, 3 out Saturday, etc...?

1+2+3+4+5+6 = 21...

This first day is probably kind of like a live test. Probably as they get more experience with it, they'll do more per day.

I work for FedEx so I'm always on the road. Hmmmm, 30 minute break when I get the tweet. Guess Memphis would be mad if we got the Droid X, since we got the Titans from them too. Hehehe. Good luck schmunky.

I sent a tweet to @ChrisCCamp who says he got there second. He said "Ran a 1/2 mile to get there, Dripping in sweat. They did give me a $20 gift card though. I ran down the West Side Highway, and down the pier. VZW people were there with cameras recording the whole thing and interviewed us"

I wonder if they'll do another one today?

It's not like they have much time until the 15th to do ALL 21 of them...

If there are lot of people from Verizon with cameras and staff, you don't have to look for certificate, just look for Verizon crowd ;-)
