Yeah, well you have to remember this is a marketing campaign. They're taking pictures and video. They WANT a swarm of people trying to get the phone it would make for a great commercial.
 
twitter has added 35 more followers in the last 20 minutes. At that rate, we're talking over 100/hour. By the time the next location is revealed, it will be a mob scene there. Do they really want to start a riot or something? They should give the early adopters the tweets a few minutes early so they can get a head start...say the first 200 followers of @DroidLanding? Oh wait, I'm one of them. What a great idea :D
 
Tried to go back to sleep after the first two texts from twitter. Guess it ain't happening at the pace they're going at. (Not complaining though :D)

Maybe VA, Massachusetts is a Common Wealth and so far the clues they've given for #20 haven't contained the word "state"
 
This officially sucks for me! I live just north o boston bu won't be home from vacation until sunday night. To top it off, my droid just bit the shed yesterday! I get a backlit black screen and nothing else... I can't get my tweets, check this forum or use the GPS to find a DX, even if I was home in time. :(

I think the swarm will depend greatly on whether or not they do a clue before the coordinates. Francis went looking after he saw the final "clue" which tipped him to look in the map bin. If that is how they do it, then possibly swarms. If they go straight to coordinates, less likely a swarm will arrive simultaneously. Closest person gets it.
 
I work in Arlington which is a stones throw from DC. Depending on what time they give it away....good luck getting there on the beltway. hahaha

Maybe you're taking it a little too literally. VA and Massachusetts are counted towards the 50 states, and part of the 48 contiguous states. I really don't think the twitter is going to split hairs on this one.
 
Krichek and WOOP, are you in agreement that Lombard St clue was a CITY clue and not location? I'm trying to think where in SF there'd be a spot with one directional vision, and no huge crowds to view the hiding of the cert. I will be in the Sunset/Parkside area Saturday, and the only way I'll have a shot is if they put it in a park nearby, or MAYBE the Sutro Baths...but that's still at least 15 minutes away. Thoughts?

I just downloaded and bought Tapatalk just so I could reply and say "Washington DC technically is a state." And then I did my research.

And all I got was this silly app. At least I don't have the taste of foot in my mouth.

Yeah, I assume DC is the place. However, there are often riddles and such that do take into account that MA, VA (and others?) are /technically/ Commonwealths

Yeah, I imagine that they will probably give a more broad clue before they give the GPS co-ords. After they did the first one and saw the turn out crowd wise they'll change tactics.

I mean, look at how much notification they're giving now.
