Fring now supports Skype video between EVO & iPhone 4

i thought if they used Fring they could now do it via 3G. If im right, i feel bad for the already crippled ATT network.

Cool that it works over 3G, but it's going to be frustration once folks pop their data caps.

Yeah, just confirmed it works and our ffc is better than theirs (yes we already knew that, I know). It's kinda choppy but it works! Welcome to video chat fanboys. :)

I haven't been able to get Skype to work on my evo using fring, i don't know how to add people to it..

I had a hell of a problem with Fring yesterday. First time using it. I made my acct, and could talk to others. I turned it off, then later tried again and I could not login ever again.

Fring works nice with Phone to PC. But it takes like 10 friggin minutes before my Skype contacts appear!?

Yea i was having the same issue.... downloaded skype on the ipod touch and added contacts that way...

you may have to download the skype app on pc/mac or whatever and add that way... for now at least

just went into fring and skype is missing. I have not been able to get it to work yet and now its not even an option.

just did a successful fring video call from my Evo to my brothers iPhone4... surprisingly good video quality over 3g. I love technology!

same here. skype icon is randomly missing now...wonder why

on a side note...just tried to video calling with a friend at work on his iphone. works pretty good. about a 2 second delay. vid gets choppy at times, but it does in fact work great.

Skype contacts do take a while to show up it seems. And I've been having issues logging into Fring itself all day.

Was able to get in and test it with an iPhone4 user here at work. It was surprisingly smooth over 3G for both of us.

yep, those with the 2gb data cap on ATT better be careful :D

Sadly, with the Fring supporting iP4, I think a number of users will be in for a shock when they want to transition to Verizon for that very reason, if indeed the iP4 materializes there.

I wonder what the trade-in allowance or eBay value for an AT&T version will be when that happens.

I wonder if Verizion will keep their cap at 5 GB (I believe that's still true) or charge iPhone users extra - and keep the cap.

I do not see this ever happening..
