"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Go Philly!

DroidLanding

Attention Philadelphia Droid hunters! Droid X designate #19 is at coordinates N 39 57.488 W 75 10.351 now. You know what to do.

There is no clock on the stairs. Maybe the coordinates are not exact. You may have to go in the museum in the southwest corner where it looks like a sundial is. It would make sense to hide it inside (less foot traffic)

But you would have to purchase a ticket to get in - probably outside.

Sundial is outside

Anxious to hear where it was/is...

we all need to come up with some kind of team name, so we can identify ourselves if we get any of the phones

so 45 minutes between final clue and coords...a bit more than yesterday

if that's the case for the SF #3, I may get it...again IF it's tomorrow!!!! It seems only the newer phones are getting clues. The ones from last week are non-existent now.

Darn, i didn't even know there was a droid by philly....haven't been paying attention today. I'm 30 min away, but if i knew i would have taken the day off work today.

Looks like it's at the Franklin Institute -- anyone working around there should be able to get there in a few minutes. There are plenty of tourists in that area, so any shmo can pick up the certificate - sounds like they are hiding them in the open.

I'm notice something from these last 2 coordinates...

They are in big open areas. Big enough to accommodate all the cameras, reps, etc.

Verizon wants as much publicity as possible about this.

I'm thinking the one in DC might be by a monument, museum. And theres a big wide open area surrounded by all the museums.

I will definitely have to use a Twitter phone app now....

And if you look at the earlier post: "If you're looking for Droid X designate #20, head a little south tomorrow. You may find Droid X designate #19.".

That implies to me that if you head south tomorrow you might find 19, but if they are giving away 19 today, then how could you find it tomorrow?

... has anyone found this damn thing yet?!?!?!

Yes. Joseph Umanzor found Droid X designate #19 at Philadelphia's Ben Franklin Monument at 12:52pm today. Thanks to everyone who played!

We think they're catching up and some of the tweets for yesterday didn't work or they didn't put them up. Thus why all the clues sucked yesterday
