New tweet up containing a video of francis and the droid x:
YouTube - Droid X Designate #4 Recovered in NYC
Watch the video, he hands the black card then gets the phone.
Paging Mr. FancyPants (The Giant known as Francis)...we need confirmation...did you find a white piece of paper that you turned in for the black document with the red eye and #4 (the one you pictured with your phone)...or was the black card what was "hidden"???
The "certificate" is a black card with the number of the droid (#4) on the red eye illustration. That's all you're looking for and need to turn in.
I'm surprised they're still keeping with this 1 phone/day business. Are they trying to back-heavy the contest and have like 4 phones in a day near the end?
Thank you, mucho appreciated.
Chris may have been effing with us all yesterday...he said he saw you find a white piece of paper that was taped to the railing of the dock.
yeah, i'm not sure what he's referring to. i don't think anyone was near me when i found it. it was only after i had been given the droid and talked a bit with the verizon people did others start showing up. the pier is rather long and isolated, and so i'm sure they selected that spot cause they could see from a distance who would be coming, which would allow them time to prepare and act as tourists. Surreal experience to say the least...
I'm just concerned as to why Verizon hasn't started doing more than one phone per day...There's only six days left...19 phones...who knows what they're up to at this point.
Arrrrrg. Yeah, my cousin gave me a phone call today and was like "you HAVE to go to the beer marathon!!!" So that's where I'll be. I'm hoping that it will be near Fenway so I can take a quick ten minute break to win a free phone...Oh well, first in line for pre-orders isn't so bad.

Do you mind telling me about how many people showed up after you looking for the certificate? Just to get an idea of how many people are competing...
If I were to find a phone - being 17 - what would happen? Would they just give me the gift card and give the phone to the next person 18+?
Any DC hunters for Sunday? I'm considering driving up for it....anyone here going?
The rules state 18... so if they check ID you'll be SOL.
