My Best Buy only got two......

and I am number THREE on the pre order list! TWO UNITS? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

How could Verizon allot that small of units of their new FLAGSHIP phone?

Steinbrenner dies and now this??

what an awful day....

I'm hoping they get some more in launch day, that is what happened with the EVOs. But, let's hope.

Worse. I am number ONE on the pre-order list at the BestBuy nearest me (Tulsa Midtown OK Store #762), but they told me this morning that they aren't sure that they'll have ANY on launch day. Actually, what they told me first was "the launch day is being moved." When I said flatly that was b.s. they backpedaled and said, "that's what we were told to tell anyone who calls or asks, but *if* we get one, you'll get it."

BigFlippinWhoopee. What's the point of having a pre-order system if you can't fulfill the pre-orders? It only makes you look bad.

I decided last year I wanted to replace my Blackberry Bold, but I decided to wait until was out of contract in February, rather than pay AT&T an early termination fee. Then in Feb. I decided to wait for the iPhone 4 to launch this summer. Then in June I ordered an iPh4 -- and got it on launch day -- but sent it back, because by then I'd read about the Droid X. So I decided to wait three more weeks and get a DX. Well, if my new smartphone doesn't show up on Thursday and bake bread and slice it, I'm going POSTAL on somebody. The dorks in blue polos better wear kevlar on Thursday if they can't fulfill the order they made.

Well ... I have to give him respect ... I'm from Queens, Milky Way, Local Group. . .

so respect given to the Boss. . .

now back to my droid. . . how did I know best buy would pull off something like this. . . I knew "can't guarantee you a phone on release" sounded like "won't receive phones on release" . . . guess I need to make the call to my store. Here goes nothing!

Ya this happened with the Palm Pre too.....fortunately there were NO preorders and i was one of the first three people in line for that phone...too bad it sucked and too bad these companies cant get their affairs in order to have more then TWO on launch day.....
 
and any Steinbrenner HATERS out there can just shut it, he has done so much for the sports industry and given so much money back into baseball. The revenue sharing gives small market teams enough money to spend more, but what do they do? put it in their pockets...Steinbrenner puts it back into his team...
 
Just got a call from Store #545 (New Hartford, NY) - I was #7 on the list, they got 6. Said I'm the first for the second batch.
 
im #15 on the list at my best buy and they told me yesterday that they did not receive the X's yet but they told me I would definitely get one on thursday because they were told they were getting 19.. if i dont get one im gonna frek out now lol.. and this thread isnt helping me haha

I, for one, am taking this with a grain of salt until I see similar reports from numerous other BB locations. Someone estimated that there are more than 1100 Best Buy locations. 1 out of 1100 doesn't exactly create a precedent. :rolleyes:

BWAHAHAHA!

I am out in Goodyear, and this store is only getting a few as well, but my local corporate VZW store is getting 100 by LaunchDay. But since I am on a business account, I have to wait an extra day to get mine, plus it is free so one day isn't a big deal to me.
 
Heh that sucks, this store in tucson is the central flagship tucson store...its been here for the longest of all the stores in the tucson area. They are hoping they will get more before thursday....

FYI Goodyear is SOOO far....

Um, as sad as it may be....this is not a sport forum. The thread is about something entirely different. You can always create your own thread on the subject in the correct venue. But I am participating in these forums to be informed on the subjects here.

It may be possible that they will be getting more today, tomorrow and on launch day. I sure hope that they do.

3-5 hour drive depending on the route. lol

I would think ATLEAST 10 should be there for launch day... I mean, its not like Tucson is out in the middle of nowhe...Ohh wait it kind of is! :p:p:p
