"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Yeah, I got a giftcard myself. $20. Plenty of waivers and such. I went towards the back of the building when the guy was going downstairs. I thought to take the elevator down, but was too dumb to do so after I inspected it. I'm glad that the guy that got it had a sway like me, otherwise it would have been a waste.
 
he definitely didn't get there fast then. There was literally a group of people converging on the steakhouse and I flat out sprinted 7 blocks ignoring traffic signs. I was on the phone with my navigator over in richardson since I didn't have a GPS.

They had giftcards for a good 10min after the phone got found. I even got to play with one along with Johan I left the building and was telling people to go away because it was found. I had just only walked back because I remembered that they had functioning demo units. I signed a waiver, got a card, almost got two of them actually. They had at least 30-40 cards on em considering nearly 100 people converged on the place.

I don't think they had given any GCs out until I asked the rep about them, but I could be wrong. But there was, as predicted, a mad dash and a mob at the restaurant.
 
Man I can't wait for tomorrow...I'm starting to doubt myself since NO ONE from this thread has won a phone...NO ONE!!!!


Seattle is soooo big!!!....ideas anyone?? I need all the help i can get.....and parking is gonna be a BITCH!!!!

Dunno... He started at Renaissance Tower and took off towards the place as soon as the coords were posted. Said he got there super fast.
This is all 2nd hand info, though... He'll prob be here later to tell his own story.

Some have gotten ridiculously close, though... Torgo was at Pinky's first and gct rullinger wasn't far behind. Gct even walked past the hiding spot multiple times! And others here have been in the hunt with a chance as well. It's not impossible, you just gotta make sure to look in/under/etc EVERYTHING! And have a little luck on your side!

I am 90% sure that it will be in one of four places. Based on other places it's been hidden there aren't really that many places it can go.
Just think: Where can verizon make a big scene about launching a new phone? Where are there a lot of people, ALWAYS?

Edit: On parking, get a driver, take a bike, or park downtown ahead of time. Street parking isn't so bad.

Yea it seems they like to hide it UNDER things...man...if i don't win I'm gonna kill someone. :mad:

That's a pretty fair piece away. I was at commerce and griffin, prepped to go towards the knoll or back towards the restaurants to the north.

Pretty much ignored everything and sprinted. I had a 4 block lead on the guys at ren tower.

I was super close to the one in Los Angeles. I got there with plenty of time to find it and was right next to the dude that won. I just never thought they'd roll it up and hide it in the end of a railing. I was only a couple feet away from it and f!@#ing witnessed it all go down. It was like all happening in slow motion. Oh well, at least theres only a couple days left until we can all have one.
