I'm going to admit that part of the reason I posted this is because I'm not 100% sure myself. Is it that they got the OTA? Got the OTA and exploited it?

Unrevoked said they mistweeted that about the Incredible. They said the EVO worked but the Incredible OTA was untested.

True, but from what I understand, this may not be the "Official" OTA?

it still gives you the same things and you can go back with adrynalyns new RUU method if something better does come out

I don't mind waiting just as long as it comes to us rooters.

But when it gets to the point of rooting, unrooting, downloading the update, rerooting...I mean enough is enough. This is just a phone afterall.

I think with a full NAND unlock things will much easier in the future. Way more convenient and a lot less rebooting.
