Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Can you call from any phone in the family plan to get the pending activation message? Is it like an automated thing or does cs tell you?
 
Pending activation for 6/28 order in store.

I can only hope it gets shipped tomorrow, so I can have it before the 23rd for vacation.

Been an AT&T/iPhone user since the 3G was released, just ordered an Incredible on Friday, ship date said by 8/3. Couldn't be more excited to ditch Apple

Just called CS and they said its pending shipment but no other info...
 
Hii, i've been reading this thread since i ordered my phone but never got around to registering to post. But I decided to today because i just called 611 and i got the pending activation message!! i am a 6/30 order! i hope that means it ships soon!!!
 
OMG, i just called 611 for kicks and I got the pending activation notice, but then i called cs and they said nothing has changed

I wonder if they just aren't seeing the shipping in their system on a Sunday

i re-ordered 7/8, its way too early, no?!?!?

THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES ME THINK WE ARE ALL GETTING THE PHONE IS ONE CS REP TOLD ME THIS WEEK THAT THEY WOULD ALL SHIP AT ONCE AND I LAUGHED AT HER BUT LOOK!!!

The pending activation message only plays for you once. After that, you'll get the usual message you get when you call *611 (welcome to verizon wireless, spanish phrase, then main menu or something like that).

And I know someone on here said that they had 2 day shipping but received it overnight so who knows, some of you guys could get lucky. I didn't lol but it was totally worth the wait. Been playing with mine since Friday....love it. And my battery life seems pretty sweet so far and I can only imagine it'll get better. Signal bars are low...1 to 2 at my house, but it really doesn't seem to affect the performance of the phone. Web pages load quickly, gmail is coming through now (wasn't the first day I had it, just a glitch with the server maybe). No pink hue. Still learning but having fun with it :D
 
WHOA! I ordered 7/5 and just got the pending activation message when I dialed 611... How is that even possible? Maybe I'm so desperate for this phone and have started having auditory hallucinations?:p

Wow! People have been receiving their pending activation notices like crazy! I got the message this morning around 8:00am. I'm calling back to see if they have my tracking info!

They still don't have my shipping info either. I'm assuming their computers will be up to date tomorrow and they will provide us with all of them then..

Yay smartphones! If you call *611 and hit 0 you'll be brought right to a representative.

awesome!!! i hope to have shipping info monday. i like you want my phone before my weekend! is it bad i want my phone for the camera since its alot better than my digital camera

It is crazy (in a good way) how so many seem to be getting notices today. Good luck to all with shipping notices tomorrow, them remember to be home when the Fed Ex person arrives.

Truck is full of Verizon phones:-)
 
On a whim I called *611 and low and behold there's a pending activation notice! YAY! 7/2 order date, now I'm really getting excited!:D
 
My theory (I am sure I'm not the first to think of it):

The Droid X hype has greatly reduced the demand on our phone. Once that hit shelves on Thursday many people went in and switched from a Inc to an X, same happened friday. Verizon obviously wasn't able to get everything updated that fast before the weekend. Now they have been pumping out phones and people have been dropping their orders for them so everyone is getting moved up the list...Fedex was closed for the weekend so we get it shipped Monday.

Just a theory.
 
I guess HTC is seriously catching up. Still can't believe that 6/25-7/2's have got the pending notifications.. I guess it makes sense for them to hold off and make a HUGE amount, then ship all at once. Now we can only pray that it wasn't a system malfunction and we are all really getting them in 2 days, AND that there are no problems with these phones :) Keeping my fingers crossed! Can't wait to playyy!
 
Yeah Brian, I will be sooooo upset if I were to receive a defective phone after waiting this long!!! i'm trying not to get too excited but UUUUGGGHHHHH! It would seem the end is near!
