Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

So I got an email from a representitive I spoke with and ordered saying the phone would ship in 3-5 business days. Anyone else get an email like this? I assume its not taking into account the backup.

When you dial *611, you'll hear "Wecome to Verizon Wireless (Spanish Phrase) (Maybe something about the Droid X) Our records show you have a device awaiting activation... Main Menu"

If you get that "Our records" message, it means your order was processed and shipped :) Then you can call and get your tracking info, and look it up on Fedex.

Let's call it very bad lol. First thing, I wake up and the sky is black and we're having a huge storm. Two, I call, they don't have my shipping info either, they keep claiming it'll ship by the 23rd. But I want my phone now :-(.

1lb is the minimum charge, they won't put anything in ounces.
 
Good luck to those of you still waiting for your delivery confirmation!

I still don't hear any "pending activation" notice when I call *611. Fedex claims mine is on the truck for delivery- too bad I'm at work today! I'll have to go pick it up from the depot tonight.

Your lucky :( Verizon told me mine hasn't shipped yet even though I got the *611 message yesterday. Did you order online? I did in store and the Fedex trick doesn't work :(
 
When I order something from newegg on Sunday or Saturday it ships on Monday but it is always Monday night or Tuesday morning when they post tracking info for you to see. I imagine shipping a phone would be the same way.

I am pretty sure that gets put up once the phone has been assigned to your cell phone number which means the phone exists. Now, when does it get boxed and put out the door? that is the question.
 
The girl I spoke with yesterday said the warehouse could have gotten ahead with updating the *611 and that your phone still might ship out 5 days from then.

I think it means the warehouse has gotten to your order and they are processing it and the real question is how long does it take your order to originate in the warehouse and make it to your doorstep.

Makes sense. I'll probably call *611 back tonight and tomorrow morning too. Really thought I was getting my phone by Wednesday D:
