I have to turn off 3G everyday when i get to work. Kind of sucks because I can't pull out my phone and play on it throughout the day. I have to get up and work outside the room to even do anything.Sadly me too.I have to turn off 3G everyday when i get to work. Also, my time without signal was 44%. I knew this is what was "killing" my battery because on the weekends my battery lasts much longer.
I say "killing" because I can still get a good 16 hours and more out of a charge. But then again, I'm not using it for 8-9 hours of that time.
Do you have roaming disabled? If not then your phone will constantly look for a signal which blows your battery. Turn off roaming or set it to Sprint Only and that will help.
Just put the phone in airplane mode. Long press the power button on the home screen to bring up the option. This will greatly reduce power consumption when no signal can be found.
One of the data-off-when-screen's-off apps might be good in lieu of this.
And turn off 3G when spending a lot of time in a low signal area. I work in a warehouse where I get a usable but weak 3G signal. I put the mobile network widget on my home screen and turn off 3G data when I don't need it. Calls and texts still come through and when I need to check email or do something that needs data, I flip the widget on. My battery life increased big time by turning off 3G in a weak signal area.
OK how do I get a mobile network/3g toggle on my home screen i can find 4g but thats it
