Accessories Verizon CarbonFiber Case?

I dont see it on line? They had one at the store I was going to get but the service at my nearest Verizon store sucks. So couldnt wait 30min to check out. Know where to get one? Anyone have one and a review of it?

No he's referring to the hard plastic "snap-on" case I think. I'm not a big fan of those, simply because you drop it with the phone and it breaks along with the phone :)

I go with the silicone "gel-style", but they can be slippery at times. :(

The second link is the case he's looking for. It's the "carbon fiber" themed one that VZW offers, and it in-fact is a snap-on based case.

I know there are reviewers out there who have reviewed this case. What about any forum users here? Anyone have this case and can comment?

I can.

The reviewer in the video obviously screwed his case up by pulling on it too hard trying to remove his phone from it, explaining his gaps between the bezel and the backplate...which is my only complaint about the case. It is too hard to remove.

For a phone that verizon pushed to be docked into the media dock AND a car dock, why they would make a case that is so tedious to remove every single time you need to use it is beyond me. If they had added a holster like the otterboxes and such, it might have made more sense to me.

The resin over the carbon is definitely soft, I'm considering doing a reglaze with something a little tougher.

As for case durability with drops, why are you dropping this phone anyway? For me, I bought the case because it looks sick. Yeah it'll protect it when/if I drop it, but I didn't buy it with durability in mind.

I have the case too, great looking case. Don't really see when i would need serious protection for droppin it. Definitely agree it is quite rough tryin to take the screen apart. Overall I like it.

I think it fits and looks great. Again, removing the bezel can be a little frustrating. It is prone to dents. I have a lot of dents from my fingernails around the seams when I'm trying to pry open the case.

i have the case...love the design, however it does make the phone bulkier :/
Not by much though. I'm happy with it so far.

I've figured out the easiest way to open it is to grab ahold of the bezel just above the hdmi port, and kinda pull it out and up at the same time to unsnap it from the clips. then work your way around the hdmi port to the bottom of the phone, then do the same thing on the side bezel on the other side. it should come off with no pry marks or dings on your sexy ass case.

I have this case and i like it. Although its not real carbon fiber (thicker vinyl overlay) its a really close look and it slides in and out of your pockets easy.

Great tip! i ruined one already took it back to the store and Verizon replaced it-no questions.

So aside from the cool looks, how does this case feel in your hands? Also, what do you feel the protection level of this case is?

Thanks.

Also, how do you guys that have this case think that with it on, it would still fit into a leather case? I may go that route for my X.

Thoughts?

Sorry for the double post mods.

Agreed, I'm a real big fan of carbon fiber and most carbon knock offs suck. This one is really close. I almost bought it, but tried it out and found it hard to take on and off. I dock mine everyday at work, so the case woulkd prolly end up braking the clips. Great Carbon "look" though.
