As a side question, are you using this ROM papadroid? If so, how do you like it?

No, I don't have an Eris I switched to the Droid a few months back. My Wife has my old Eris and I put xtrRom3 on it for her. She uses the camera alot and I wanted a ROM that had very few bugs if any since she is not tech savvy. As soon as they get some more bugs worked out I will load it on her phone. I've been using Froyo for a month now and love the features especially flash and chrome2phone.

Make sure that the files are not being unzipped, unfortunately he has not provided md5 checksum to verify against.

and dont download using Google Chrome browser. Several reports at XDA on file corruption with downloads via chrome.

Cant say I've ever had the issue with chrome, but I use Firefox most of time

I am having a very raped battery drain on CELEBFroyo v1.4. It drained completely in 3hrs. any thoughts?

Get a better battery. The Eris battery is way underpowered and not adequate.

It's funny. HTC used the same 1300 mah battery in the Incredible.

I love the Eris. The battery anemia was just one way to save on costs. Bad HTC.
