Help ***Official*** Status of your Droid X order thread

Sounds like you got a great rep. SO sorry this happened.. but thankful you got someone who would really work with you and helped make up for the other mistakes .... great deal but not worth all that hassle.. hopefully you'll get it sooner than they said :)

He was incredibly helpful, especially compared to the previous reps. Even though Verizon screwed up, I was just happy to have someone acknowledge the mistake and apologize. Even though I have to wait a little longer, it's nice knowing that I'm actually going to get one instead of wondering if my order even went through.

Like you said, I hope I get it sooner than 8/3! With so many people posting here saying that they're getting theirs much sooner than expected, I think there's a good chance I will get mine pretty quickly.
 
I have had my X for about 10 days. This morning, I started having problems with my screen. Banding/flickering/etc.

So I called Verizon this morning and they shipped me a new phone today.

So apparently, they keep a supply of X's available to replace those that break.
 
I haven't gotten an email today about shipping. I freaking ordered it on the 15th, what gives. I'm pretty dissapointed right now. What is really bothering me now, is that im going out to the field for a couple weeks so I don't have time to mess around with this phone business. I'm at a loss as to what to do, I'm stuck with this two year old cheapo lg flip phone which isn't reliable anymore. AT&T has horrible service here on Fort Leonard Wood and other Army posts I've been too, I really don't want to go with them. I feel like Verizon gave me the finger.

Ditto. With so many ppl ordering after you, and receiving shipment confirmation (or their phones already!), in your shoes, I'd be calling daily to figure out WTH is going on. Sounds more like something went awry with your original order?
 
No. It'll get here when it gets here. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Don't. I told myself that out of necessity because I am currently on a business trip. Check out my thread. Your order number may have changed, thus further delaying your order. VZW kindly took possession of my money on 7/15. I was told my order did not exist in their system until 7/19. They told me I will not receive my phone until 7/27 the earliest.

Call and find out, each and every one of you who ordered on 7/15 and have not received any further notification.

This only shows that VZW cannot compete in this new realm of smartphones. That's now 2 phones with ordering problems. I'll grant that the HTC issue is out of VZW's hands (shame on Samsung), but this one with X is definitely VZW's fault. Underestimating demand.
 
verizon was out, i went to wal mart and they had a few in stock.
anyone go there yet?
 
I've not called but emailed them, asking about billing and shipping. They said " A letter with a more detailed explanation will be mailed to you". I'll have to call tomorrow. Another thing is I didn't know Walmart carried the x, I'll have to look into that. I have a local verizon dealer store but they never had any so I assumed Verizon was holding them for their corporate stores only (except for BB I knew they carried the x).

Call them. I found their e-mail responses to be lacking, as it never addressed my questions.

Ok Total update now.

Ordered 7/20 with 8/3 ship date showing
Credit Card charged 7/22
Shipment Notification Today 7/23
Will be delivered Monday 7/26 due to weekend.

Not bad considering I just missed getting it today.

My replacement Droid X came in today but the power button does not click and its hard to press... I just feel so irritated right now. I have a Droid with the LCD issue... I guess I'll have to order another one.
 
I got so irritated, i went to walmart and bought mine. i have a delivery date of 8/3. I'm not irritated at that, but I'm tired of great phones coming out and then having to wait 2+ weeks to get it.
SO, I read on here that Walmart had them, i called and found some BOUGHT ONE! I even got my $100. rebate instantly! I then called Ver. and tryed to cancel my order. She said she couldn't, but to just refuse the package when it arrives. my account will be credited back.
All is well now!

Have you given them a call yet? I would definately do that..... good luck:)
 
I have been in contact with my sales rep about every day having them check on my order, I believe having them order it in store is taking longer than the internet orders.
 
Did anyone in maine or new england get thier phones yet? I see alot of folks in other parts of the country but i dont see many from my neck of the woods...

My replacement (ordered 7/19) was finally shipped yesterday (7/23) out of Ontario, CA. ETA = 7/27 (2 day shipping). I'm in southeast New Hampshire.

My original phone was ordered 7/15 (online); delivered 7/16.

ok thanks :) i still haven't gotten my email... and calling is no help. i ordered on the 18th in store.... told i'd get it shipped by the 27th.

No trust me its not... I ordered mine on the release day.... still no phone...
When i ordered mine online it said it would ship by the 23rd... well that day has come and gone with no "shipped" email sent to me... COME ON VERIZON! In a normal situation i would be very patient about this, BUT knowing that other people IN MY AREA ordered AFTER ME have already recieved their phone, pisses me off....
 
My buddies wife ordered hers on the same day i ordered mine 7/21, she ordered in-store and i ordered online. She received her email the very next day telling her she'll have it by monday, Mine still says...

Order Status: Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email.
 
Ordered my phone on July 20 @ night and the estimated ship date is Aug. 3.
To my surprise, it shipped on July 23rd and according to tracking, it should be here by monday, july 26!

Super pleased i didn't have to wait very long :)
 
1st message on the forum. Just ordered 2 Droid X's via websight yesterday. So far no email on order processing or shipping. Anyway gives me time to read up on the X and hopefully make an easy transition to my first smartphone.
