Help Launcher Pro - Is there an equivalent to the "Contact Quick Tasks" widget?

I switched to Launcher Pro and I'm loving it so far. However, one of my favorite Motorola widgets was Contact Quick Tasks. It doesn't work since Launcher Pro doesn't support sizable widgets.

Are there any widgets similar to Contact Quick Tasks?

There's a market app called "Contact Widget" by Ricardo Lecheta that does something similar. It'll let you display a contact picture, and upon tapping it, it'll either dial, sms, or show all the info for that contact.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just wish it had a few more options, like displaying a photo instead of the default icon.

Have you downloaded bettercut yet? That app does a lot of great stuff, but one of the options is a direct action link. So for example, I have two icons on my main page with my wife's picture and one of them calls her cell and the other texts her using google voice. You could also do e-mail etc.

I ended up using the LauncherPro Plus "contacts" app to display a list of Favorites. It's good enough for now.

It will ... But not if the photo comes from a Facebook profile. If that's the case you can run an app called SyncMyPix which will assign the Facebook photo as the Gmail contact photo, then it'll display.

check out mycontacts from the market (free).

its great. quick press to call(picture)
long press to text(picture)

I am unable to find this widget. I see a couple but they aren't free and the description sounds like something completely different. Can you link me to the app on AppBrain.com? Thanks in advance.

Hey DrJD
How did you do that in Better Cut? I wanted to set up some direct text message but when i try it says 'no contacts'. Can you help?
