Verizon ‘Very Pleased’ With Droid Sales - Digits - WSJ

On Monday, Flurry, an app-analytics service, published another estimate. Its vice president of marketing, Peter Farago, said in a blog post that by monitoring new-handset activations for the Droid, iPhone and myTouch 3G, another Android phone, it believes 250,000 Droid phones sold in its first week.
While Apple sold some 1.6 million of the iPhone 3G S in its first week, he added, that was in eight countries, compared with a U.S.-only launch for the Motorola Droid.

It also isn't fair to compare the first-gen Droid sales to the 3G iPhone. Apple already had an established user base who were ready to upgrade. The Droid is just getting started.

/Bought mine last night.
