When will Sprint push out Froyo?

I'm hoping August ( next month, but I'm thinking it will slide til September The pressure to get a build out concurrently with other contemporary HTC phones has to have Sprint scurrying

Personally, after coming from the giant piece of shit known as the Samsung Moment, I am just thrilled to have a phone that works. Whenever 2.2 comes out I will be happy, but I'm not trying to rush it or anything.

But just for the sake of speculation... Septemer 17th or 23rd IMO, just so they can claim that it was out in Q3 (THIS IS NOT A RUMOR! THIS IS COMPLETE SPECULATION THAT I MADE UP! PLEASE DO NOT GO AROUND MAKING THREADS ABOUT HOW YOU HEARD THIS RUMOR!!!)

Now as for gingerbread (3.0?) THAT I am excited about:D

Oh, and here, take these

Just make sure to give me my keys back.

I am 100% sure that it will happen some time in the future... and I am definitely maybe somewhat sure that it will be before 3.0.

Sprint finally has a good flagship (although out of stock) so let's hope they keep it rolling with timely updates. They have a chance to regain their position in the market. Aug/Sep is my guess.

...if you don't mind losing one of the key features of the phone - 4G

I've installed Ava, CM6 and DamageControl 3.5. All very good, but 4G is why I purchased the phone.

I still dont have 4g in my area so I could care less, but Im getting blazing fast speeds on 3G with this ROM.I have not got a taste of 4G yet, maybe I'll miss it the day I do,but til then is useless for me.

Fair enough. Once you get 6 to 10 MB down to your laptop, it is hard to do anything else.

Apparently 4G is going to be the tough bit to get working. We will likely have to wait for the official Froyo build to get it, may that day soon come. At that point it will be a decision whether to run the Cyanogen or DC ROM's.

I didn't buy the phone for 4g, but I'm certainly not willing to give it up for this, especially when I'm betting official Froyo is right around the corner.

Would be an easy choice if I were in a non 4g area.

I think it will be September/October just because the new Samsung 4G is coming out in August and it will still only have 2.1. I don't think Sprint will want to have an older phone sitting there with a better, faster OS.

I am just waiting for Cyangenmod's stable release so I can flash to that. I came from the original Droid and I prefer not having Sense.
