Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Etiquette question. I am still waiting my shipment notice, but want to be prepared for when it gets here. Most likely it will come while I'm at work and my wife is home. Here's the dilemma: Do I have my wife open the box and start the charging or do I make her wait until I get home so I get the thrill of opening it myself? I'm torn.

Charge it! That way your not tethered.
 
Don't mind me, I'm playing with my new phone... Got it around 9:30am local time (one of the perks to having it delivered to work).

Lots to do, lots to learn, but I'm going to try to get some actual work done this afternoon too...
 
doesnt seem like we've seen any\many new shipping notices yesterday or today like we were seeing last week. and... i see amazon is still 'in stock'... wonder if they paused on fulfilling the backlog and stocked up amazon instead..

I was wondering that too. Did anyone receive any shipping notices today? I'm a 7/21 and this has felt like forever.
 
7/18-ordered in-store8/3-Estimated ship date7/27-Received tracking info from FedEx7/29-Expect delivery Yay! The jurassic Blackberry is consigned to the landfill(or maybe I'll drop it off at BestBuy for recycling). Mark

I ordered in store 7/18 also but do not have an estimated shipping date. I'm in PA, where are you?

Stay on the CSR's and make sure that they notate your account - My Incredible order journey started on 6/7 (long, long story) and was re-ordered on 7/21 with a 8/3 or sooner ship date with overnight shipping.
Due to all of the issues I have received a total of 6 months of service credits and once my Incredible finally arrives another 30% off credit to my account.
The credits are a nice gesture to but I would have preferred to receive my Incredible as promised on numerous occasions.

I call everyday now to follow up

Well it is 5:00PM in New York and just got that knock I've been waiting patiently for all day.
Ordered through CSR rep on phone 7/13
sent out on 7/23
and arivied today 7/27
took two week, and came early from the date said of 8/3!
I have it on the charger right now, but so far it looks really good cant wait to turn it on!
 
Talk to cs yesterday and today. Both said that it would ship 8/3. [ordered 7/22 (store)]:mad:

I hope they're wrong and are just going by what is posted on website.

I can wait another week, I just don't want to...;)

Thats what they told me yesterday too, and it shipped today. They have no idea, unless they can find a tracking number in the system. Looks like we've got orders from the 19th and 20th out today, hopefully you'll get lucky and have your order out tomorrow.

man, people who ordered on the 20th are getting them this week! gives me hope for when i ordered on the 23rd..lol

psh oh and all you suckers charging your batteries instead of playing with it right away....i've got my seideo 1750 from my eris that i'm gonna pop right into this badboy! ;)
 
I started seeing all of these shipment notices for orders placed after mine and I was immediately disappointed. And then - WHAM - Shipping notification from VZW...

Ordered (online): 7/19/10
Ship By Date: 8/3/10
Shipping Notification: 7/27/10
Est. Delivery: 7/29/10
 
awesome to see that the 7/19-7/20 orders are getting shipped out soon. This gives me faith that my 7/25 order will go through in the next few days.
