Accessories does anyone have a desktop dock/cradle?

i wanna try the ones from "nakedcellphone" which look good and i have bought from them before. but their picture only shows one input behind it for mini usb. usually it has for the usb and the ac adapter. i dont get it

I am using the Dock from the original Motorola Droid Works well, and includes the USB Charging cable. Its a much better deal than an extra usb cable charger from Sprint. The cradle works with the Case-mate case, if you remove the stock battery cover. I doubt it will work with a TPU style case.

The problem that I have with the cradle is that it takes some getting used to, in order to position the connector.

I got my ebay dock / spare battery charger in the mail today.

And the verdict is... It fits fine / charges fine on USB!

The only down side is that the phone doesn't charge when plugged into A/C power. According to the description the A/C power is there for the spare battery charger. This isn't a huge deal for me, but I figured it was worth noting.

I just received mine from ebay and it works great so far. The Evo docks in it very easily and has a snug fit. I'm not using a case. It's not the most attractive thing but it works.

So after my first style dock didn't work, purchased a different one from eBay. Really liking this dock, only need one cable (AC adapter + cable included) to charge Evo and spare battery. Here are some pics. Got it from seller 'nakedcellphone', link eBay Cradle/Dock

I got the second dock without the extra battery charger as I dont need that. I think it's pretty good for the price. Evo fits in it snug and there are no issues lining up the charger tip. I purchased two of them and got them in a week and a half. I have a barley there case and it fits in the dock a little tight when its on but, it does fit.

it seems like the nakedcellphone one is not good bc you cant charge and sync at same time. i need a cradle that has separate usb and ac power cord that will actually sync. i bought 2 nice ones on ebay and they both didn't work when plugged into usb for some reason. no charge or sync. but the backup battery charged fine.

i dont want to keep waiting for 14-21 days to try other hong kong ones. i never had a problem with previous phones. i ordered the cradle and it worked fine. why is this so hard, and why did nakedcellphone have to get one with only one cord. what are the odds. i have bought from them for my hero and it worked perfect all of them.

damn

If you plugged it into your PC wouldn't that enable syncing and also charge the phone (albeit slowly) the rest of the time?

I feel better with a more powerful rapid charge.

Agreed. It's a shame because I like the design of the nakedcellphone dock the best so far. I might get it anyway and just leave it plugged into my charger that came with the phone most of the time and then plug in a USB cable attached to my PC for those times I want to sync.

I got two of these docks as well from Think Mobile Solutions. It works fine without a case, but I can't use my phone without a case for fear of damage...so they are useless! Now I am trying to return them in the 15 day return window with an RMA that I have to get from the company. 4 days in, left countless emails and phone messages...no reply.
Grrrrrrrr.

Sorry, I am not sure how to paste images, but the dock I was referring to was the same as xOLLIEx in above paste. I am desperately seeking a dock that works with a protective case! Can anyone help out before I go to my shed and start a construction project?

hey sprint remember all those pre launch pics of the hdmi charger dock for your best selling phone in history? ya know the one you cant make fast enough? @*#$#@*!

ok i feel better now

Interesting, that looks like one sold by Boxwave that I've been looking at. Been waiting for some kind of review on it.

It is the same dock but boxwave sells it in two styles; one with a battery charging slot and one without. It was so much less expensive on eBay for the model with the battery charging slot that I ordered one yesterday. I'll post some impressions on here once I have had a chance to run it through its paces.

most idiotic people designing cradles with only one plug on back. so stupid. we need a power plug and separate usb plug.

My dock has a power and USB. The power is just for the spare battery, which I don't use.

You can't have power on the cable you're plugging into the PC.

So... plug the USB cable into the AC adaptor and you can fast charge. Unplug and plug into your PC when you need it to connect to PC. It really isn't that complicated.

For anyone who has the Nakedcellphone dock: Does the LED on yours near the back of the unit flash between red and green constantly? Mine does that and I have no battery in the charging slot. The front LED stays lit a solid blue whether my phone is docked or not. Are these normal behaviors?

I have this dock and yes it does do that and it's realy annoying. As you stated, the blue light is on all the time. Red / green flashes when connected to ac, red charging , green charged - nothing if connected to a usb port as at that point there is only enough charge for the phone. I don't have a spare battery, so tape was good for me. I like the way the phone is guided on to the usb and supports the weight of the phone, but is no good if your phone is not naked.

This charger reminded me of the Boxwave charger I had for my Hero. Boxwave have now released a charger that looks just like the Nakedcellphone version - don't know if the light issue is the same. The also sell a version without the extra battery charger section. I've ordered this and the other will go to work.

I also tried one from Hong Kong. Works well, but I alway feel I'm goung to break the charging port on the phone or the charger each time I line them up. Might get away with a very thin skin with this one - not Innocase thick.

Thanks. Mine however flashes red/green whether connected to USB or AC. The manual it came with says that it should only happen on AC as you said, but mine does it all the time. I'm tempted to return this and get the Boxwave without the battery charging bay or possibly wait for the official HTC dock if it ever arrives. I saw that they released an official dock for the Nexus One today, that took a long time.

Bumping an old thread to ask if this cradle will cause your phone to mount/unmount the SD card or ask you to choose storage mode or put it in storage mode requiring a switch back after you remove it or if it simply charges the phone and puts it in desktop mode? Thanks!
