A few widgets you may not know about ! :)

Perhaps I am late to the game with these, but I just discovered them yesterday.

Also note, these may NOT work if you are running sense, I am not sure. Either way... here they are:

Long press on your screen, and click

Widget > Get more HTC widgets > Menu (soft key) > Update

You should now have
-Coin flip, Dice, Notes, Profile, Ringtone, Tip Calculator, Today in History

Just throwing it out there, for those that didn't have these before :D

They are HTC widgets. I'm pretty sure they only work WITH Sense.;)

I didn't have these...thanks!

Can anyone figure out how to use the notes widget? It seems like the only note you can ever see is the most recent one and to see prior notes you have to delete each note subsequent to it.

For anyone looking for a good calendar widget that syncs with your google calendar try Agenda Widget. It's awesome and very customisable.

Hmm, I didn't know I had those but they were already in there when I tapped on "get more". No need to update.

Notes would be great if it didn't take up the entire screen -- I wish it had a choice of sizes. I use Simple Notes now, but I do miss being able to enter a note without having to leave the widget. Also the handwriting ability was a nice touch.

If you guys are looking for a GREAT notes App and Widget, try "3banana".

After using Colornotes, Notepad, and the default HTC notes app, I found 3banana to be the best. It has password protection, really clean and simple interface, and the widget for it is really good.

On AppBrain, you can find it here

Enjoy ! ;)

Another widget trick I just found out is that advanced task killer has a single slot widget. You just click that widget and it does the same thing as opening the app and closing all the apps.

Yeah, I've tried all those too and found that 3banana is the best... Coming from an iPhone, the notepad was something I used EVERYDAY so I really needed a good notepad... I started with colornote and did not like it and though awwww shit, no good notepad on my EVO... So then I went to Evernote, never liked it, not even on the iPhone... Then I found 3banana and to me its better than the iPhone notepad which is no easy feat to accomplish!

I downloaded them all, and they all show up as downloaded and installed. But when I try to add them to a homescreen, Profile, Ringtone are nowhere to be found.

I rebooted but still nothing!

Edit:
Found them INSIDE the settings widget.
Too bad there's no real profiles like "Nighttime", "Meeting", etc.

Am I missing something really dumb? I can see these widgets inside the "get more HTC widgets" list but I can't find a way to get them on my main list so I can use them.

You have to tap on them and then hit "Download". That will add them to your system.
