Which 2.1 ROM for my bro?

My brother is on his way over so I can root his phone and install a better ROM for him. He is stuck on 1.5 and needs my help rooting and getting a new ROM on there.

Anyway, browsing through ROMs and issues, not sure which ROM to give him. Looking for some direction. My first choice would be Fresh 2.3.3 since its the latest and Fresh always has good stuff.

Basically looking for something that is ready to go and wont require me flashing a bunch of fixes to get it right. Super stable is key. Pretty sure he will still want Sense as well.

You already said it, I recommend Fresh 2.3.3 It is the rom I have kept the longest, and am still using it without issue.

Darchdroid 2.7 has the highest Linpack scores I've seen. It's the cleanest, smoothest ROM I've used, including Fresh.

I gave him stock Fresh 2.3.3. He enjoyed it while he was here. Told him to update.

On a related note, freaking Windows 7 and HTC sync need to get their sh-- together. Took me forever to re apply all my sync settings/drivers since I re formatted a while back since rooting last.

I had the same problem with Windows 7, ended up having to use fresh kitchen to do the auto root thing

if you have issues with drivers and sync, use sync version 2.0.33, most have better luck with this version, myself included.

I'd recommend the 710mhz vUV2 kernel for fresh, make sure to flash that module remover zip first like it says.
